Lydia Terrace is located in the quiet residential area of Newfield, just outside Bishop Auckland. The neighborhood offers a peaceful setting with local shops, takeaways, and amenities within walking distance. By Car:
From Durham City Centre (approx. 25 minutes):
Take the A690 to Nevilles Cross, then the A167 south. Follow signs for Bishop Auckland via A688. At the roundabout with the B6282, head toward Newfield. Lydia Terrace is located just off the B6282.
From Newcastle (approx. 45–50 minutes):
Take the A1(M) south, exit at Junction 61 (Bowburn). Follow signs for Spennymoor and then Bishop Auckland via the A688. Continue as above.
From Darlington (approx. 30 minutes):
Take the A68 north toward West Auckland, then follow signs to Bishop Auckland and Newfield.

By Train:
The nearest train station is Bishop Auckland Station, which connects via Darlington or Durham.
From Bishop Auckland Station, Lydia Terrace is about 10 minutes by car/taxi or 20–25 minutes by local bus.

By Bus / Public Transport:
From Durham Bus Station, take Arriva Bus 6 or Arriva 56 toward Bishop Auckland. Change at Bishop Auckland bus station for service 86 or 87 to Newfield.
From Bishop Auckland Bus Station, board Arriva service 86/87 which stops in Newfield, a short walk from Lydia Terrace.



- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.
