Majatalot – Bishop Auckland

”This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”

”A warm welcome to the recently refurbished coach house. The adjoined pub offered tasty food. With a freshly cooked breakfast we were ready to enjoy the stunning countryside surrounding this delightful village.”

”Clean room”

”If you are looking for a safe secure location close to all major amenities. This place is ideal very clean and the staff are very friendly indeed, parking right outside so you don't have to walk far to get to your vehicle. Will definitely be booking another stay in the near future.”

”Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant”
