    The Space:

    Get a glimpse of everything the Black Hills has to offer at Crooked Canyon Lodge, a cozy, pet-friendly 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home set on a quiet 20 acres near Rapid City. Unwind in the private hot tub or sauna, play a match on the fully lit sand volleyball court, and gather in one of two full kitchens with plenty of space for the whole gang.



    Three bedrooms sit on the main floor with an additional bedroom in the basement, and the beautiful backyard, framed by stunning views, is a wonderful place to relax with friends and family. Loved the roomy location, beautiful home. I'm not normally a negative person, but several things I have to note, in the pullout sofa in the basement a live mouse ran out, very cold downstairs, temp wasn't:t consistent in all areas, had trouble running dishwasher. All in all, I would come back, but you might think strongly on updating appliances.

Great cozy cabin in the woods. Close to down so myself and all 7 of boys could run back and forth. Everything was clean and inviting. Host was wonderful!

Fantastic house, great location, lots of space!

We had a very comfortable stay here with our family of 5. We enjoyed the extra space, attention to detail, comfortable bedrooms, and the grounds. The location was great for our activities in Rapid City, Keystone, and Sturgis.

Very nice place and quiet along with easy access to town amenities. This place was centrally located so we could easily visit the state and federal sites. Also our Co-Host Sage was always available for breakfast and dinner. HAHA-Sage is the neighbors dog. A very friendly girl. If you do not want her there then just tell her to go home and she will sadly walk back home. We actually loved it!!! Very homey and comfortable. Our actual host checked in on us and gave me his number to call for any issues. This hasn’t been my experience at other VRBO’s. Hope you enjoy it as we did!!!

Our family really enjoyed staying at this home. It's spacious, in a quiet neighborhood and close to places we visited! Building a fire, relaxing in the hot tub and being out in the snow was the best part. Would definitely stay here again!

Crooked canyon stay

The location was perfect, quiet but still close to amenities with plenty of room inside and out. The deck was very nice for early morning coffee and the hot tub was nice after a day of exploring the national parks also we brought along our Indian motorcycles so we had to go to Sturgis. There is room for our 7x16 trailer in the top area if you’re thinking of bringing bikes. Our co-host Sage was quite helpful every morning and evening for breakfast and dinner. Sage is the neighbors dog. Hahaha we loved it!! But if you don’t want her over just tell her to go home and she will leave with her head hung and fully try to guilt trip you 🤪🐕. Very nice stay and would highly recommend it also the host is very accommodating and will even call you to make sure everything is going smoothly.

A quiet retreat

This is a wonderful place to stay! It has easy access to the highway and Rapid City, yet was so quiet we didn't hear any traffic or any of the neighbors. The yard is beautiful with a huge deck, perfect for that early morning coffee. The house is huge, with plenty of space, and the rooms actually felt bigger than the pictures showed. The beds are comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice bonus for the end of the day. I have read some reviews which cautioned that the thermostat cannot be adjusted. This is true, but was never a concern. Upon checking in I received a text with the number in case we wanted the thermostat changed, but we never felt the need. No matter the outside temperature, the inside temperature was very comfortable. This is an excellent place to call home while you are touring the Black Hills!

Perfect location

This is such a beautiful property - secluded but easy access. The house is amazing, the rooms look bigger in-person than from the pictures. The deck outside is lovely, with so many options for seating and lounging. The bedrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, and with three full baths and two half baths, no one ever needs to wait to use the restroom!The hot tub was a nice touch, even on warm evenings. It's a perfect way to I wind after a busy day of sightseeing.Before booking I read how several reviewers mentioned the lack of direct thermostat control. This is correct, but as soon as we were checked in I received a text with the number in case we wanted the temperature changed. But not once during our stay did we need to ask, and the weather varied a lot from day to day. The house was comfortable, whether it was a hot day or a cool one, so don't let this make you nervous to book.In short, it is a wonderful place to call "home" and I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for a large family

Lots of beds for everyone and well supplied kitchen amenities. Beautiful location but close enough to Rapid City for local family to pop over. The carpet had some stains but our main negative was that the thermostat was locked and you have to text to get it changed. It was initially hot but the weather shifted and then it was too cool. Otherwise, had a great time and loved the house.
