”We had a wonderful time in this delight- filled historic guest house. Relaxing escape from the city. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to hang out in. Many humorous touches. Comfy beds, plush towels. Super clean. Exceptional host! Note- has a mini- fridge, and counter top oven when meal planning/ grocery shopping. ”

”This was a great property for our stay. Our son went for an overnight visit at VMI and this was perfect for our stay. The host was great and there was great communication. ”

”We loved this property. It was just what we were looking for…. Charming, thoughtfully planned, well decorated with fun extras. The hot tub, nature trail, pool table and games added special touches that helped us relax and enjoy spending time together. We stayed in suite 2 which had everything we needed noises maker, coffee, chocolate. I felt welcomed and thought of. Would definitely come back. ”

”The owners set the bar for a great experience. If there was a definition of what going above and beyond represented. They would definitely be that definition, I can't thank them enough for their hospitality and courtesy. The only bad thing I would have to say, is I'm upset that I couldn't extend my stay a little longer. There may be a lot of places to choose from as far as locations and places to stay. However I'd be willing to say that you won't find a better experience than what these people...

”Our family had such a beautiful time at The Lodge! The hosts, Steve and Kathleen, were incredibly responsive and kind from start to finish. The place itself is massive, the primary bedroom alone feels like a studio apartment, complete with a jacuzzi tub, a rain shower, and sliding doors that open to a huge patio with a cozy porch swing.We missed seeing the horses because it was so cold, but honestly, the cabin itself was more than worth the stay. One tip: definitely try to drive up the mountain...
