”Nice one! Great room with a king size bed, spotless clean, spacious and cosy. The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend.”

”Very laid back feel and lovely set up”

”The hotel is well situated in the high street. There is parking (albeit limited). Staff on arrival was pleasant but I didn’t see anyone after that. Old building so floors ( including stairs) were uneven and there was no lift. Not a problem for me but I would imagine not everyone could get upstairs. I was in room 19, top of building. No air con but there was a fan in the room. I was on my own but the room was a bit of a tight fit if a couple were in there. Bed linen and towels very clean....

”We had the downstairs courtyard room which was wonderful. Tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The room was at the back so very quiet yet within a short walk of the high street with all its lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. We were the only guests on a Sunday night so had our breakfast in the courtyard. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.”

”Really nice place to stay”

”Room was very spacious as was the ensuite. However we spent the first 20 minutes killing small moths/fruit flies (unsure what they were exactly). They were everywhere. Didnt mention to management. Breakfast - we felt a bit pressured to decide on the spot and from a one page menu tacked to the wall, what we wanted for a cooked breakfast. Could a menu be placed on the tables? Then the staff (housecleaners?) walked through the dinning area to get to the staff room, then came out to make a coffee....

”Claverton staff, food, room and gardens all excellent. The functions on 2 nights in function room and beer garden below our room was noisy and therefore took edge off stay hence the 4 stars and would not return in the future.”

”Lovely hotel, restaurant, bar, in an excellent location for shopping etc in Rye. Very good value for money. There is no free car parking but the pay & display/RINGO is immediately next door and less than a tenner a day. We can highly recommend this hotel.”

”What a fantastic stay at the The Little Silver Country Hotel, beautiful garden and quaint rooms, we had the double (four poster) with the Juliet balcony (Rm 14), perfect on the hottest weekend of the year, the staff were fantastic and couldn’t do more for us to have the most comfortable stay, fabulous breakfast, and even help us out and went to the trouble and arranged a seamless return taxis to Chapel Down, we will be back!”

”Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow. Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax.”

”Lovely Hotel at the top of Rye close to the church and the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel.”
