”It was an absolutely lovely experience and grate place to stay. The most disappointing thing, esotericism on a holiday advertised for kids, is that you can only get 1 hour slots at the pool per day. Yes the pool is emptier when you're there but 1 hour is just not enough! Plus you have to drive to get anywhere else that's kids friendly. So if that changed my rating would improve.”

”We stayed here for a wedding in Trebetherick. Which meant a couple of expensive taxis but the ability to wind down quietly away from the rest of the party was nice. The accommodation is upside down so that meant a nice breakfast on the balcony . Certainly stay again if the opportunity arises.”

Do not book if you do not appreciate history, quietude, remoteness, and if you want your life filled with modern gadgets. ”

”We had a great stay in The Bailiff's House, it has absolutely everything you could need. Great base for exploring. We didn't have dogs with us but i have told friends with dogs about it as it would be an ideal place for them with the facilities it has. It was lovely to come back to a nice warm place after mountain biking in the wet muddy weather. ”

”We stayed for 6 nights at Swallows Barn and could not fault any aspect of it. Gerrit and Judy were very helpful and friendly hosts, yet despite living next to the barn we were never really aware of their presence. The barn is beautifully appointed and has everything you could need for the stay. The location is wonderfully quiet and the surrounds are picture perfect.
