I stayed at this hotel from August 21 to August 29, 2025. While at first the service from the bar staff, restaurant, and housekeeping was excellent, my stay ended in the worst possible way.
On the last day, we invited a friend to visit us and, because he was not registered, the manager reacted with physical violence, actually striking him in the face. As if this was not already unacceptable, the manager then attempted to charge us a $1,000 “fine” for the incident, even though he was the one who acted with aggression.
When we refused to pay this unjustified amount, the situation escalated further and we ultimately missed our flight.
I would also like to clarify that our visitor had been at the hotel bar, singing and sharing in a friendly manner with the hotel staff in a peaceful environment. The manager’s violent outburst was completely unexpected and disproportionate.
We are formally reporting this incident to the authorities that regulate hotels as well as to the embassy. Additionally, we are engaging legal counsel to support us in this matter, as this is not only an abuse but also a very serious security concern for guests.
It is extremely concerning that a hotel of this level would allow a manager to resort to physical violence against guests or visitors and then attempt to impose abusive charges. This does not only ruin a stay, it puts guests’ safety at risk.
