No Internet
There was no internet. We were in communication with the host pretty much our entire stay trying to get it fixed, and it worked for about 3 hours in the middle of our 3 day trip before it went down again.
I was told that the surrounding units had internet, as if that was relevant and it was somehow my fault that the internet wasn't working where I was staying. I was also told to restart the router in a nearby unit I was NOT staying in, with no explanation for how to go about that.
The hosts communicated quickly, but the internet issue was never solved. I was disappointed with the host's way of responding to this. I asked for a partial refund, which I thought was very reasonable since I didn't get everything the listing said I would, but they said no since it was supposedly the internet company's fault, not theirs. Either way, I didn't think I should be the one to eat the cost of that. I felt that the host should take responsibility for what they promised to a guest. It was just unprofessional.
Other than that, our door code didn't work at first, so I had to message them about that, and our hot water wasn't working the first evening we were there. Both of those things were resolved quickly. The neighborhood seemed safe, and the house was nice enough.
I was disappointed with having to communicate so much with the host throughout my trip without ever getting the issue resolved, and that the host didn't take responsibility for things they said the home would include.
