Friendly staff and decent breakfast, however the room had a bit baffling bathroom solution: The toilet was a small closet on the right side of the room entrance door, the shower was on the left, and the sink was on the other side of the wall entirely in the main room itself. Yes, the room entrance was effectively in the middle of the bathroom, likely an artefact of the old building and existing piping or something. Still left an uncomfortable and claustrophobic feeling, particularly given the luxurious size of the bedroom itself. Bed was a bit hard. Decent enough stay for one night, and has its rustic charm if you like creaking floors.

A very imposing exterior hides a dated and tired interior. We booked a junior suite, the furniture was from a previous decade and for a hotel of this grade air conditioning should be available, alas only a large and noisy fan. No walk in shower, just a flimsy curtain over the bath. Walking around the corridors is similar to being in a old hospital, stark decoration and old metal fire doors The breakfast was good if a little expensive for what you got but a decent selection nonetheless Lastly the reception personal were pleasant and helpful,

I liked the authentic style of the hotel. The location is perfect! Room service however could be better. Even with the tag on the door the room was not cleaned and we had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper…!

Perfectly located in the city centre. We got a free room upgrade and our window was overlooking the small courtyard, nice and quiet. Perfect! The staff was very helpfull and accomodating. The only thing missing was airco, but they put down a giant fan in the room so it worked.

Wir hatten die Suite und die war super. Groß, schön eingerichtet, hohe Decken, 3 Fenster zum Marktplatz, sauber, grosses neues Badezimmer mit Badewanne und Dusche. Alles bestens. Schön wäre noch, wenn eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer wäre und man Getränke für den vorhandenen kleinen Kühlschrank kaufen könnte. Wir konnten allerdings an der Rezeption ein Tablett mit Wasserkocher, Tassen und Instantkaffee bekommen, das war dann auch ok. Das Personal war superfreundlich. Wir würden das Hotel mit dieser Zimmerauswahl/Suite jederzeit gerne wieder buchen.

Great place to pop in for a night. Room was nice an big with a good view and the restaurant at the base was extremely delicious!
