Relax on Sardinia’s unspoiled western coast! In the beachside village of Bosa Marina, this is a cosy apartment for 6, just a 4 minute walk from the sea. It is the ideal base for family or friends who want to explore this lesser-known region of one of Italy’s most popular islands. Guests can choose between one of the many beautiful beaches nearby or exploring the lively city of Alghero.

On the first floor of a 3-storey building, the main living space is decorated with traditional wooden furniture, including a dining table for 6 and a charming dresser. The sofa is next to French windows which lead out to the private balcony. This acts as an extension of the apartment and is furnished with chairs, a bench and a small table, so that guests can enjoy drinks in the quiet surroundings. Back inside, the kitchen is next to the dining table and is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, a Moka coffee maker and fridge/freezer.

Location
The apartment is just 5 minutes from the charming town of Bosa, which is on the banks of the River Temo. Having been voted one of the prettiest towns in Italy, it is best known for its castle Castello Malaspina, which dates from the 12th Century. The winding streets and painted houses make for a lovely day out, exploring the town. For self-catering, Bosa’s weekly market (Tuesday) is the best place to find fresh local ingredients.

There are many lovely beaches to choose from. Cane Malu (6 minutes) offers particularly good snorkeling and diving in the pristine sea. Spiaggia di Bosa Marina (4 minutes) is a wide, sandy beach with cafés and bars on the sea front.

Alghero (55 minutes) is a fascinating collection of architecture, from the ancient walls that encircle the city, to the gothic cathedral. A day wandering through its cobbled streets is a rewarding experience, especially if it involves lunch at one of the many, delicious, local restaurants.

Alghero airport is 1 hour and 10 minutes away.
