We were staying here at the end of our first day walking the Saints Way from Padstow to Fowey, so we were in need of comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast and St Benets Abbey provided both. ”My friend and I stayed 4 nights. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast had varied options and was very tasty. ”We loved staying at the Minerva Guesthouse. The hosts are lovely and thoughtful. as are the staff. It's really what makes this place special. The location is excellent, right near the beach for an early morning or evening walk when the tide is out. Our room for three was tight but with everything we needed: an excellent shower, comfortable, clean bed, and closet space. Go for the location, but stay for the hosts. ”

”Great stay in a room 11 which was more like a little separate home. Food quality was good and staff were nice. While overall cleanliness was decent, we had hairs in shower and over our toilet and my parent had some mess in their bathroom too. Really liked the branded ‘newspapers’ with the property details and its history, as well as the separate lounge downstairs.”
