A vacation rental designed to be enjoyed with family and friends!

The Red Door Lakeside sits high upon the ridge overlooking Barren River Lake in Scottsville, KY. A 2400sf farmhouse-style home, the Red Door Lakeside has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and sleeps 8 comfortably. All furnishings have been purchased or handcrafted specifically for the comfort of our guests.
INSIDE
Guests enjoy Mellanni luxury sheets as well as luxury pillows, mattresses and fluffy towels. A spacious farmhouse kitchen stocked with kitchenware and bakeware is perfect for creating family meals to be enjoyed at the handcrafted black walnut dining table for 8. The great room has a 65" TV and is part of the main level open floor plan designed for gathering together. The family game room includes a 55" TV, board games, and a farm-themed children's' play nook with books and toys. Every bedroom has a TV. The top floor offers king and queen bedrooms and individual bathrooms. The third bedroom, on the lower level, is a "bunk room" with 2 queen beds and its own bathroom. The half-bath is on the main level.
OUTSIDE
A screened porch, open air deck, and Sleeping Porch are lakeside. The screened porch offers traditional outside furniture. The open deck includes a fire table for romantic nights and sharing memories. The Sleeping porch includes a handcrafted bed swing as well as other comfy furniture. The farmhouse front porch rockers and swing provide a farm setting and a fun change of pace. A Weber gas grill and fire table round out the amenities. Enjoy Corn Hole and Ladder Ball under the stars! For all our Corvette owning guests, the paved driveway provides smooth simple parking for 4. For all our boat owners...there is ample boat parking and Baileys Point boat ramp is only 1.8 miles from the property. The home has a generator in case of a power outage.

Excellent Experience

All the detail that went into planning for our arrival were amazing. Including having such tasteful Christmas decor thoughtfully displayed through the entire home. This alone kept our great nieces who visited us one night quite busy trying to count all the Christmas Trees. The views from both well equipped porches are great. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were such wonderful and personable folks. Highly recommend this home.

Red Door Relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Door Lakeside. Tammy was an amazing hostess and answered any questions we had in minutes, even when we locked ourselves out! The Perfect Place to Celebrate a Special Occasion

We were thrilled with this property. 3 levels. All very clean and well decorated. We had everything we could need. The downstairs bonus room with the games and extra bedrooms was the best place to hang out and enjoy some fun with all my friends. We loved the sleeping porch so much! So much a great space. Overall Tammy was an amazing host and was very accessible during our stay. 10/10 would recommend staying here again.

An oasis in the woods

The place is a little slice of heaven! It is fully stocked with everything you could need. Beautifully decorated and Tammy has thought of all the details. 4 college friends looking for rest and relaxation and we hardly left the house, didn’t want to! Perfection!

This was hands down the best vacation stay ever. The house felt like a warm hug that just welcomed us all. Beautiful Property

The minute you walk through the door you notice extra care given in every detail. Everything says “welcome and relax.”. Communication with host was the best we’ve ever experienced. Special little touches like a welcome bag with cookies from a local bakery or items in the pantry gives you the feeling your host is happy to have you. I’d recommend to anyone in area to explore especially Mammoth Cave.

The Red Door is the perfect place to host a large gathering! The house is designed for entertaining with a large, open kitchen and multiple gathering places both indoor and outdoor. We were at the Lake for my oldest brothers birthday and 80 member family reunion. What a wonderful time we had. The Red Door Lakeside had everything we needed to feel at home, plus a beautiful view. Girls trip!

Boating, relaxation and fellowship! This property was perfect for all of the above. We enjoyed the porches, the bedding was amazing, there were plenty of bathrooms for six women, the attention to detail and personalization was perfect. It was like we were at home! We will definitely be back! Thanks to Tammie for her hospitality. She is the perfect host. We head a slight hiccup with the gas grill and she and her husband immediately responded and took care of it! It was awesome.
