”Very bad experience”

”Rooms were clean but dated. Breakfast was great. Bed a little lumpy”

”It has 4 Start rating but unclear why it’s that high. Checking in, staff member didn’t seem particularly interested. Had to prompt guidance on how to get to my room. Dinner was fine. Nothing spectacular. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are dated, bed was way too soft. Probably old. All just pretty average and not 4 star.”

”The staff were amazingly accommodating. While the rooms could do with refurbishing, the linens were clean, the view to the harbor refreshing. And finally, it’s the first time I think they’ve had to accommodate a Dungeons and Dragons online gaming session after restaurant hours which they did with humor, grace and a bit of rejigging of their cleaning schedule. Thanks so much!”

”Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”

”Friendly welcome on arrival . room was relatively small but well equipped and clen. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent and all bar prices were very reasonable. while there was some ongoing construction in the hotel grounds, there was still the ability to take a short stroll around the grounds. Definitely worthy of a short stay.”

”Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Location is very good. Swimming Pool was excellent. Overall room was very good but could maybe do with improvements in the ensuite bathroom”

”We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again!”
