”Such a lovely friendly receptionist on arrival. We had the green room and it was big and very clean.”

”There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. ”

”Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I...

”We booked a deluxe en-suite double room with (according to the website) a four-poster bed. This room was no longer available and we were assigned a room which was dark and grubby. We were also informed that there would be no food available ("don't do food anymore"), despite breakfast and evening meals being offered on the website. The staff were very apologetic and stated that there was new ownership and they couldn't access/manage the website. We expressed our dissatisfaction and requested that...

”We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!”

”This was one of the best stays that I’ve experienced in a while. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly upon arrival and were happy to answer any questions. I was traveling alone with two children and the staff were intuitive and accommodating. The food was phenomenal and the breakfast the next morning was really good as well.”

”Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers”

”Lovely little gem. Breakfast was a nice touch. Pub on site serves food and drink. Owners nice. BUT you should have a car if you are staying here. Getting a taxi can be difficult as it is away from main town. Definitely recommend staying here.”

”great central pub. great staff .”

”Good food great chef”

”Lovely people. Very friendly. It’s not the Ritz but you do get what you pay for, and as such, it’s excellent. We had a lovely time.”

”Quaint room and wonderful breakfast..lovely Landlord & Landlady”

”Hidden gem ! Will stay again !”

”Where do you start. Car park is a Pay and Display between the hours 9am-6pm. No food available not even breakfast. Room was old and tiered. Bathroom stank and not clean, there was a floater in the loo, not nice to see when you walk in. Music from the bar went on until closing time so good luck trying to get any sleep until then. When you go to leave the next day you cant get out of the door you came in you have to use the fire escape, The only redeeming factor was the bar staff, she was pleasant...

”Worst hotel I have EVER been in ! DO NOT go anywhere near it !”

”Erittäin ystävällistä palvelua ja siistit huoneet! Samassa yhteydessä oli suosittu ravintola, jossa oli todella hyvää ruokaa. Aamupala oli runsas ja monipuolinen. Valitsimme hotellin sijainnin, hinnan ja arvioiden perusteella. "Lähi"nähtävyyksistä kävimme katsomassa Tintagelin linnan ja Dartmoorin kansallispuiston.”
