New Mill Road, Honley. This was a new turnpike road, the Wadsley and Langsett Trust, in 1804-5. The mileposts are from Huddersfield to Sheffield. This photo shows a row of probably late 19C houses associated with the industry nearby, and later houses beyond. The road is built on a straight alignment on the flat velley floor, hence the speed camera warnings (the police radar car was in action today, but I was crawling along looking for something to photograph!).

Something good, something to improve
Staff were very helpful, accessibility was very good. Cleaning the room wasn´t very good; needed to go ask towels, bath mats, suger, coffee. Also needed to give feedback to keep objects at same place, not moving them (blind). They had a wedding parties and music was very loud till early morning. ...

Attentive and friendly staff, efficient check in and check out. Comfy toom with the Marriott bed linen, always a good sleep. Hotel in quite a good position in town with good entrance for drop off and pick up.
