Bromfield Hotellit

”Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

”A lovely hotel with wonderful staff.”

”Our stay was absolutely amazing! The spacious, clean, and refurbished room with a super comfortable bed was just what we needed. The full English breakfast had generous portions, and every meal was delicious. The staff were excellent, chatty, welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic! We loved every minute and can't wait to stay again. Highly recommended! 🤩✨”

”We had a great stay. Our hosts were fantastic!”

”My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.”

”The only positive from our stay, if it didn’t Happen, would have actually been a blessing . The front desk agreed to help us check in later than possible by leaving key in lockbox. Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly...

”Excellent communication from staff and really helpful and friendly”

”This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.”

”Lovely friendly staff, excellent location for the New House Farm wedding venue nearby. Room was quite basic and old fashioned but as pictured in photos. Was great to have a proper bath in the room! The cooked breakfast was fantastic I was very sad I couldn’t finish it all! Would stay again!”

”Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .”

”We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again”

”Very old ,needed upgrading .Lots of stairs, no lifts ! no good if you were Disabled or if you had problems climbing .”

”A very clean and well equipped room - limited parking but perfectly adequate - disappointing lack of breakfast - rice crispies and cormflakes don't do it! Very good dinner and bar facilities”

”We had a fantastic stay at The Old Rectory. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable we had in a 3 week tour of the UK! The host, Dave was lovely. So helpful in recommending local sights, and made a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the morning. The location was fantastic as well, Easy to walk to the High Street, beautiful bridge and walking trails, Annan museum, and restaurants etc. Thank you!”

”Decent sized double room with better than usual lighting! Really comfortable bed and good shower, albeit on the small side! Off road free parking is always a bonus and they do a full breakfast if required! Everyone very friendly!!”

”Staff very welcoming. Food really nice and very filling. Perfect stay for us. Thankyou”
