”The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was also excellent. The meal was amazingly priced for 3 courses and the chief made the pudding from scratch. I would absolutely go back again and even if we disnt stay the night i could eat the chiefs food all day long every day”

”My wife and I stayed for just one night. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. What more do you need from a hotel? We will definitely stay should we go back to the area.”

”All elements of the hotel were well presented. The room was excellent and we had a choice of a shower or bath. The staff were polite and respectful to guests which made it a relaxing visit. The breakfast menu was excellent with individual requirements met. ie poached eggs etc. There are ample EV charging points in the car park. Unfortunately we did not use the pool complex on this occasion. We would stay here again in the near future. Well done.”

”The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable, nothing bad to say! The customer service was great and dogs can stay for £10 a night. As the hotel has a very central location, there was some noise coming from bars etc to the room but nothing too bad! Air condition is available. ”Shared a room with three adults during Download festival. Pros: Hotel was conveniently located and everything worked well, staff were friendly and hot shower for everyone. Room was sufficiently spacious to fit three adults and their luggage during a 4 night stay. Cons: Spare bed (cot bed) had some sharp edges and was of course not the most comfortable sleep for 4 nights. ”

”Really nice looking property with easy parking. Food was excellent and location was out of the way quiet but still easy to get to. Some negatives was that the matteress was old and soft so you rolled toward the center and one of the receptionists had limited people skills. No conversation loke 'good morning, how was your stay.... anything and one of the advertised benefits of that roaring fire was not kept alight so any though of having a drink after dinner infront of it ..you can forget....
