There are actually several museums all together in the center. Plan on spending at least one full day, and be prepared to walk three or four miles! The firearms museum is fascinating, even to those not so inclined. They have everything from historic matchlocks to modern sporting arms, as well as military weapons. There are also interesting "hands on" exhibits.

A fabulous tribute to the wild, wild west and one of its famous participants Buffalo Bill Cody. There are actually 5 museums here and while Buffalo Bill's story is the star attraction, the Yellowstone Natural History museum was also really interesting. I was so impressed by the quality of the exhibits and the old photographs were just wonderful. A real surprise
