”Breakfast we didn't have as it was extra so can't comment on that , the views were amazing and we had a room looking out across the moors , the room was pretty bit obviously old and creeky ,massive bathroom with bath and separate shower , the cold tap in the bath didn't seem to work ,no water cold water came through, bed seemed to be on the small side even though was advertised as king size ! Narrow corridors and clunky doors separated the rooms along it and unfortunately inconsiderate noisy...

”Comfortable bed, and room very clean, and serviced daily. There was a good selection at breakfast, and food was constantly replenished. Breakfast items are all good quality, and staff are very friendly, polite and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. There is plenty of free parking spaces. Highly recommend this hotel , and would choose to stay here again when in the area.”

”Clean room (if a little dated) but the little courtyard was lovely to sit out and have a coffee. £15 per day to park or free on the street outside. Sensible level of breakfast - just enough.”

”The was very clean and comfortable, we were in the back of the hotel which was actually nice because of how quiet it was. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was classic British full breakfast with the baked tomato…Excellent location not far from from the Micklengate and close to old town York. The bar and other sitting areas were very comfortable and welcoming.”
