”Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference.”

”This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!! Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!”

”Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. (Watch out for some huge portions, though!) But above all, the staff were great, Georgie and the team, Joe, Katie, Simon, a special shout-out for Debbie (she knows why), and for all...

”Situated in a picture postcard little village, everything about the hotel was top notch, the decor throughout and our room was tasteful and modern, everything was spotless and clean. The food was excellent, I had the fish platter which I would highly recommend. Staff were attentive and polite, it's a five stars from me”
