”This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! Highly recommend! ”

”Excellent time from check in to leaving, lovely place right in the heart of Ambleside a stones throw from everywhere we needed to be, great bars and restaurants. Breakfast was top notch both days. ”

”Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.”

”Wateredge Inn, Ambleside We stayed at the Wateredge Inn in October for one night and really liked it. The location is perfect, right by the water, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything felt nicely done and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good too. We’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.”
