St Bartholomew’s (Formerly St Michael the Archangel) Church, Burstow, Surrey The outstanding feature of the church is the west tower, built in the 15th or 16th century. The timber tower is a separate construction; the church has a west wall of stone. The Church is a Grade 1 Listed Building It is also very close to Gatwick Airport os seen by the plane coming into land. http://www.stbartholomewsburstow.org.uk/history1.html

A delightful half timbered 11th century Church of England church in this tranquil village (other than all of Gatwick airports air traffic that thunders a few hundred metres overhead!). Lovely pub hotel, close to Gatwick airport. We had an upstairs room in the separate annex outside the main building. Very spacious room, clean bathroom, and comfy bed. Huone oli siisti ja todella tilava. Kylpyhuone hieman vanhahtava kylpyammeineen. Kätevä sijainti, lyhyt kävelymatka niin lentokentälle kuin juna-asemalle.
