”Pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend. Room was spacious and clean. Loved the wines glasses! The breakfast was perfectly adequate and the shared kitchen clean and pleasant to sit in. We paid for carpark and were allowed to leave car the next for a visit of the city. A nice 20 minutes walk along the canal. Host very prompt and polite by text once we had booked. Great price for the convenience and facilities. Thank you ☺️ ”

”The rating was given for two star hotel. This is a motel style, very, very simple. Service was good, the room was relatively clean. We stayed only one night, so we just needed a place where we could sleep. It was a good place to stay for the money paid. ”

The owners were super helpful in terms of their communication ahead of our booking, as well as in answering all of our questions in the build up. The cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and their suggestions for things to do in the nearby area. The entire house was very well kept and we would highly recommend staying here - thank you!”

”The house is beautiful and in a lovley area. Everything was spotless and communication with the landlord was great. I'm sure we had a bottle of wine waiting for us on our previous visit but this was sadly missed on this occasion. Despite this we will definitely be visiting again 😁 Thank you x”

”Excellent place to stay, nice bar, great food and excellent room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and the staff were really excellent. The place was so good that I still give it 5 stars even though the breakfast experience was less than expected. Breakfast menu is fantastic - nothing much I can think of that wasn't on the menu. The experience was a little bit spoiled by staff forgetting to bring mustard to the table so my meal was almost cold by the time it arrived. Also the toast took...

”A lovely stay. A beautiful building and immaculate cosy room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was huge. A great view of the canal. Right in the centre of Newark and easy to access. Parking is allocated per room and validated via an app...building work was happening so my space wasn't signed, but the builders were really helpful. The outside was in need of a bit of a tidy up, but it is Autumn. ”

”Really quirky and comfortable B&B with the most amazing hosts. We were made to feel so welcome and Anna makes the best ever homemade cookies! My friend is gluten and dairy free and Iain and Anna could not have been more accommodating. Excellent breakfast, comfy and very clean rooms. Sorry we only stayed one night! ”
