”This is a wonderful place to stay with a very warm welcome. It's a very comfortable family home with excellent views across Bassenthwaite Lake to Skiddaw, comfortable bed, a very filling full English breakfast (also with cereal and toast), very quiet, a short walk to the lake side, at the foot of Whinlatter Forest and close to a bus stop for the X5 to Keswick or the Workington direction. Parking is next to the house.”

”A perfect stay! Amazing comfy, cosy and massive bed which gave a perfect night sleep ahead of us climbing Scafell Pike which was really easy to get to. Super clean, loved the modern touches but also the traditional parts which remained from the barn. Breakfast was amazing and loved that it catered to vegetarian and non-dairy options without having to ask for this. We loved watching the alpacas from our bedroom. The freshly made cakes each day were such a treat and tasted beautiful. Only 10 mins...

There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.”
