”Very clean and the rooms have been renovated”

”The room was nice. Two clean and comfy queen beds with decent walking room. A Desk, a fridge, microwave and a nice open bathroom. The only thing that let me down was the drain in the tub wouldn't plug to take a bath, the internet was spotty the TV only had cable it was a smart TV to watch streaming or even mirror my phone too. Otherwise the pool was amazing - very clean, big and very warm. It went 3ft, 4ft, and 5ft which was nice also.”

”This hotel feels like a slice of paradise nestled on the canal. The rooms are large, well equipped, and situated so that you can park your car and walk to a nearby establishment, nature stroll (10 min walk in wooded area or longer on canal) the room is clean and breakfast is good. I wish I tipped the staff more. The Cape is so expensive and these people work alot to afford all that life requires. So if your fortunate enough to stay and enjoy free parking, water views, breakfast, please please...

”It was likely the most well-kept and nicely maintained motel in which I've stayed, and I've probably been at 150 different motels. The husband/wife team that runs the place are kind, considerate and extremely pleasant and the whole atmosphere appears to be plucked from the brain of someone with clever design ideas and highly influenced by Johanna Gaine's-type decor approaches. ”This was our third visit and hopefully not out last. The location - backing to a salt marsh where we could watch the tides - was spectacular, and our room #3 was very cozy. It had everything we needed - including a beautiful balcony with rocking chairs. There are no restaurants close by, but a light continental breakfast was provided at the office. The motel is right off Route 6A, which was amazingly quiet at night.”

”The motel is located right next to a golf course. The surroundings are really beautiful. The staff was very caring and genuinely friendly The rooms are very basic. No frills here. Newly purchased, i would expect it will receive a lot of freshening up and upgrading. Really clean and comfortable. For the price of the rooms, you will not go wrong. I highly recommend The Blue Rock. And wish the new owners and their families the best of luck and blessings.”

”The staff was very helpful when we checked in. They don't seem to have a dedicated front desk person so when we arrived at 2, I had to go find someone. The breakfast spread was pretty generous. Looks like they bake their muffins on site. Couple issues with the room. The TV was on when we came into our room. I thought it was a welcoming thing. We turned it off but it kept coming back on, several times. They were very prompt in having someone reprogram it. But it was on when we returned from...

”Pool was not open yet, breakfast is simple. Always hear from the outside that door slammed loudly. The vent in the room seems can not turn off, also very loud.”

”Nice room. Bed was very comfy. The HVAC was a little, tiny bit noisy. The tv guide an old scroller, which I find pretty annoying. Other than that a very nice holiday inn express. Breakfast was well looked after and food was very fresh and good!”

”What a nice surprise to find this independent gem at such a great location. It overlooks the ocean, and there is a swimming beach just a short walk down the sidewalk. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor pools and a decent continental breakfast. Good value for a clean and updated room with a fridge and no carpet.”

”The ceiling in the bathroom kept leaking over the toilet area at least twice during our four nights stay. Management did work on it the first time, but then it happened a second time on the day we were checking out. They’re compensation was $30!”

”I would suggest upgrading the WIFI. It wasn’t user friendly. Other than that it was clean, very well maintained, and the gentleman that owned it was very accommodating.”

”Great place- excellent views/ocean access, helpful staff, clean. Did not like being charged $25/ night to park and find out when you arrive. It was not crowded, parking charges seem unfair. That added an additional $75 to our bill”

”Beautiful location. Main building with restaurant and bar has great character. Note, it was just remodeled and restaurant opens next week. Our one king size bed cottage was spacious and had a sitting deck with an ocean view. Price was reasonable for the experience. Highly recommend!”
