Dear Expedia Customer Support,
I am writing to formally report several issues that occurred during my recent stay at the Nobu Hotel, which I booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect the level of service or accommodations that Nobu is known for, nor what I have consistently received during prior stays.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the room had been neglected. The staff was noticeably less attentive compared to previous visits. Most concerning, our room did not have warm or hot running water, making it impossible to shower, bathe, or even wash our faces properly.
When we notified the staff, we were offered a room change; however, the replacement room was a lower-tier room without an ocean view, despite our original reservation and the rate we paid. This was not an acceptable solution.
Additionally, during check-out, we were not asked about our stay—something the hotel has always done in the past. It left the impression that service quality had significantly declined.
This visit was meant to be a birthday celebration for my wife, yet the experience was severely lacking.
We also encountered issues at the hotel restaurant: despite the property not being busy, we were told we needed to wait 10 minutes so two scheduled parties could be seated first—after which they would determine whether they could accommodate a party of two. We ultimately chose to ... etc
