However, when I arrived for breakfast on the morning, I was told that only a continental breakfast was included, and that I would have to pay extra for a full breakfast. He then got more annoyed that he didn't have the right number for me because he mixed me up with a different lodger. ”It is such a beautiful building in an incomparably lovely setting. Who could not love it? Maybe a little faded ( it’s old!) but full of character! The staff were very welcoming and with a great sense of humour.”

So friendly and helpful. They also had lots of games and toys and a garden which were great for the kids. ”

”Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant...
