  • Derwen Fach is a newly converted barn at the foot of Moel Hebog. The cottage is situated on a 2000 acer mountain farm in the heart of Snowdonia, with the Welsh Highland railway steam train right on the doorstep.
    Derwen Fach has been refurbished to a very high standards with everything new.

Lovely stay for 3 nights. The cottage is so well situated. We have stayed in Beddgelert many times and this was by far the best view we have ever had, and only a 10 minute walk into the centre, but you feel like you’re miles from anywhere when you’re at the cottage! Bedrooms are really big, bathrooms are lovely. The outside area is great for dogs as so much space and all enclosed so you don’t have to worry. We will be back!

Excellent place to stay. Modernised to a very high standard in a very private position but still easily within walking distance of the village of Beddgelert and it's amenities. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great mountain views and a twice a day chance to see the steam trains pass the property at the bottom of the property drive. Would highly recommend.

This was our second visit to this wonderful cottage. It is absolutely perfect, beautifully maintained and in the most stunning setting. Our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s perfectly located for an easy walk into Beddgelert. We just absolutely love it and will be back again very soon.

This is such a gem of a property. It's in a great location, secluded but only a 10 minute walk to Bedgelert. The house is beautiful and well equipped, the views are stunning and an added bonus is the steam train goes right by the front garden, with a second glimpse out of the side window as it loops back round. To access the property you need to open two gates and cross the railway line, which was perfectly safe but just took a bit of extra time. Instructions from the host were very clear and we had no problems finding or accessing the property. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely rural setting near village

My two friends and I stayed for a week, and enjoyed the property for its bucolic setting and central location to places we wished to visit. Making friends with the sheep was an added bonus, as well as the little train that passes a few times a day .

Stunning property and location

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful, comfortable and very clean accommodation in a quiet location yet a lovely 10 minute walk into Beddgelert. We enjoyed the mountain view( even in the rain), sheep, sound of cuckoo birds and the creek but the daily highlight was the heritage steam train!

Perfect relaxing retreat

Absolutely brilliant, the location is surrounded by nature but only a 10 minute walk to the village shops & pubs. Really comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, modern and spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend and will be booking another trip in future

Stunning and secluded yet close to facilities

A gorgeous property presented to the highest standard. Within walking distance of beddgelert and right on the steam train's route. We loved it will be coming back.

We’ve had a fantastic stay. The house is warm and welcoming, beds are really comfortable and the welcome treats were extremely thoughtful and generous. The views are really lovely and the hosts are really friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend enough

Short but sweet stay

We stayed for 4 nights, and it was wonderful. Very quiet, just far enough off the beaten track. Charming little steam train along the bottom of the garden once a day. Accommodation very clean and welcoming.

A perfect base to explore Snowdonia National Park.

Absolutely loved our stay in Derwen Fach. It’s a beautiful, modern barn conversation that has everything you need as a base for exploring all that the Snowdonia National Park has to offer. Amazing views from the living room, a cracking log burner to keep you toasty on colder nights, and great communication (and welcome pack) from our hosts. We would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our vacation. The accommodation is very nice and modern. The view of nature is fantastic and the beautiful Beddgelert is only a 10-minute walk away. A clear number one.

Second time at this property and we have already booked for next year. Just a wonderful location and view and a truly exceptional quality property. Very nice welcome hamper with Bara Brith and other goodies. Thanks for another great stay.
