Attractions
Villa Gelly is located in the municipality of Calenzano, between Florence and Mugello. A car is not necessary and the main services (shops and restaurants) are within walking distance.
From the villa it is possible to reach Florence in 30 minutes by bus using the nearby bus stop (which is a few metres from the property), or by train via the Calenzano railway station, only 2.5 km away.
The Mugello area is characterised by a skilful mix of nature and comfort for its citizens, while providing easy access to the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, proximity to Florence but also to historical centres including Scarperia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy with its Palazzo dei Vicari and the parish churches in the surrounding area dating back to periods between 1000 and 1200.
For sports enthusiasts, we recommend a visit to the Mugello International Circuit (40 km). In half an hour by car, you can reach Lake Bilancino, where you can practice various water sports, including canoeing, sailing and windsurfing.
Some tennis courts are located in the vicinity of the villa and 3 golf courses are between 15 and 35 km away.
Finally, if you love shopping, we recommend going to the Barberino Designer Outlet (25 km) where you can find the most important international fashion brands.

Interior Description
The structure, on 2 floors, has recently been tastefully renovated. The romantic and elegant interiors are characterised by beautiful antiques, hardwood floors, high ceilings and a central open staircase. The villa can accommodate up to 10 persons for a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Basement: In the basement there is an additional kitchen and a laundry room equipped with washing machine and dryer.
Ground floor: An elegant and spacious living room welcomes you, furnished with a fireplace, two comfortable sofas and TV. Next to the living room is a bright dining room with a table for 10 people and then a separate reading room with sofa and armchairs.
This is followed by a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, kettle and dishwasher.
There is also a bedroom with a king-size bed and a private bathroom with shower.
First floor: The upper floor is dedicated to the sleeping area divided as follows:
- 1 bedroom with king-size bed and large en-suite bathroom with bath and walk-in shower;
- 2 bedrooms with king-size bed and adjoining shared bathroom with bathtub and separate shower with chromotherapy, hydro-massage and Turkish bath;
- 1 twin bedroom with two single beds (joinable) and a small adjoining bathroom with walk-in shower.
There is air conditioning in the living room, dining room and all bedrooms.

This rental property is not a hotel, agritourism, B&B or similar, and therefore by law extra services similar to those found in these types of establishments are forbidden, such as reception, concierge or security, mail reception, provision of meals and drinks, cleaning and change of linen during the stay and courtesy kits with soaps etc.

Our opinion
Beautiful villa, elegantly furnished and equipped with many comforts: swimming pool, satellite TV, air conditioning, Hi-Fi, DVD player, shower with chromotherapy.
It is located in the municipality of Calenzano so it is close to the main services (within walking distance) but, at the same time, offers excellent privacy thanks to its lush, fenced garden.

- 1 twin room with two single beds (joinable) and a small adjoining bathroom with walk-in shower.
