”We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you (without being over bearing). The whole place was spotless, the food was impeccable and it was very dog friendly. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! ”

Nice fresh croissants and goot drink selection I have stayed before and will stay again due to price, location, lovely romantic stay”

”The Hotel for the price you pay was ok. The bed was clean, however no mattress protection was laid down. The bathroom was also clean. The rest of the room as not as clean as i would have hoped and looked tired. The location however is excellent! Parking was suffient and only a 3min walk in the famous all creatures great and small area. ”

”Stayed here for the first time 14 March oh my what a treat. We stayed in the James Herriot room and it’s the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!”

”The accommodation was lovely although a little tired in places. We stayed in a Geo Dome (D2) and although the weather was not ideal due to Storm Dave the room was warm and comfy. I slept well enough and toilet not far from the dome so no real issues. The thing that let the place down was the service in the pub/restaurant. We had a table booked for 8pm, turned up ten minutes early ordered just after 8 and at 9:10pm we had to ask if we had been forgotten about! We had but the chef reopened the...

”Lovely room, with great views. Parked easily. Bar and lounge were a bit underwhelming and we didn’t stay downstairs. Breakfast was good. It was horrible weather when we arrived, it does need better lighting, you could barely see.”

”Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.”

The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
