Situated along the base of Red Hill the suburb offers easy access to the numerous nearby natural walks and lookouts as well as the bustling city hubs. Famous for being home to the Royal Australian Mint and the Prime Ministers' official residence ‘The Lodge’ the suburb is an otherwise homely suburban area of the city. With its own shopping strip, hospital, parks and schools Deakin is a truly idyllic suburban destination.
