Tasokas keskustahotelli
Tasokas hotelli lähellä keskustan ravintoloita ja palveluita. Tältä hotellilta oli helppoa ja turvallista kävellä myös illalla ja nähdä paikallista elämää V&A waterfrontin turistirysän sijaan. Hop on hop off bussin pääpysäkki ihan kulman takana. Huoneet siistit ja modernit hiustenkuivaajalla ja safety boxilla. Huonesiivous päivittäin. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä, avuliasta ja mukavaa. Kaikkiin asioihin suhtauduttiin auttavaisesti, kiinnostuneesti ja iloisesti. Erityisesti aamupalan vanhempi mies todella hauska ja sai päivän alkamaan aina hauskalla tavalla. Runsas ja maukas aamupala, jota pääsi nauttimaan myös terassille alkavan markkinahumun viereen. Hotellin ylimmässä kerroksessa kuntosali ja uima-allas, joista näkymät Table Mountenille. Vesipulan vuoksi hotelli hyödynsi hyvin katon sadevettä altaaseen ja muutenkin informoi saapuessamme kattavasti vesipulan tilanteesta ja siitä miten meidän tulee toimia. Pyyhkeitä sai myös lainata rannalle hotellilta. Wifi toimi erittäin hyvin koko hotellin alueella eikä vaatinut uudelleen kirjautumista. Kaikin puolin loistava valinta yöpymiseen Kapkaupungissa.

Good location and very good breakfast
The hotel was situated in the city center, so very good connections to everywhere. The hop-on-hop-off bus stop was right on the corner. The room was very nice and big, a bit cold though (my visit was in August) but that was ok. The breakfast was really nice!

Hyvä sijainti keskustassa
Varasin tarjoushinnan perusteella hotellin yhdeksi yöksi ja olin yllättynyt sen hyvästä sijainnista ja melko hyvästä tasosta. Huone oli kohtalaisen pieni ja näköala verhojen takana oli suoraan vastapäiseen seinään parin metrin päässä. Kannattaa pyytää huone toriaukion (square) puolelta, jos haluaa katsella ulos. Kaikki oli kuitenkin siistiä ja kylpyhuonekin vastaremontoitu. Hotellin ravintola oli hyvätasoinen ja edullinen. Suosittelen jälkiruoaksi suklaafondantia! Lähistöllä on muitakin ruokapaikkoja esim. lounasaikaan, mutta turvallisuuden vuoksi menisin illalliselle joko Waterfrontille tai jäisin hotelliin.

Loved the hotel and the breakfast was simply gorgeous and bountiful. The African market out front was the frosting on the cake. The swimming pool was an added bonus for my husband who does laps; it was small but adequate.

easy check in process, friendly and accommodating staff, great breakfast with options, beds were comfortable. I did not feel safe going out by myself. I watched scammers working from my hotel window. If you are with 3 or 4 people I would feel safe. Hotel and rooms are in great need of a remodel. Bathroom door was rusted off the hinges and door would not close, cracked tile and dirty grout. Nice USB ports in headboard.

The hotel was clean and located in a good area. The market in thw square just outside the hotel is great. The breakfast was nice. What let it down was the room. The bathroom was very small and the air conditioning in the room was terrible. The unit gave me an electric shock on two separate occasions. No one at reception seemed to be remotely bothered that I had been injured. We asked to move rooms after the second incident and the room we were transfered to also had really poor air conditioning which made the room very warm. The bar, restaurant and common areas are nice and modern but the room was a disappointment.

The Onomo Inn On The Square is the perfect place in Cape Town. The crafts market is just outside the front door and more crafts on St. George’s Mall, one block away. St George’s Anglican Cathedral, where Archbishop Tutu presided, is very close. The Inn On The Square is in the very center of Cape Town. The restaurant is also good. There is a bar too. The staff is competent and friendly. I really recommend this hotel

Incredible breakfast buffet included
The ONOMO hotel, located in a good, central location, has 8 floors. We were lucky to be on the 8th floor overlooking the square. I imagine the lower floors might be noisier due to vendors setting up and dismantling their booths. The breakfast (which we weren't told was included when we checked in) was incredible - one of the nicest buffets I've experienced in a hotel. The pool, while small, was refreshing. Laundry is available but very expensive.

We had to move 3 times due broken AC units. Had to waste alot of time in the lobby and the maintence manager (Neal) lied to us!

Not great
Unfortunately there was a mixup with our booking and it was never sent through. This wasn’t the hotels fault but staff were dismissive and rude at times. Rooms were adequate but bathroom pokey and not that clean. Breakfast was hectic and unenjoyable. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.

Good tourist hotel
As a tourist hotel it's difficult to fault the Onomo - it does the things hat tourists expect to find very well. It is centrally located, the staff were very responsive and attentive, the breakfast was good, the room was clean and the pool on the 8th floor was fine. It has a large street market directly outside with shops and restaurants nearby and it is a 15 minute walk to the V&A

No aircon - so stay away if you need that
If you need Aircon don’t book this hotel at all- it don’t work in any of the rooms I change rooms and it all the same, just work as a game. if you don’t need aircon this hotel is ok for the money as the location, staff and cleanest is ok for the money. But as I can’t sleep in +25 C room I didn’t sleep for my hole stay so for me it is only worth 1 star.

Great property and great service. The only issue is that the pool was being misused by other guests. The hotel should ensure strict measures for the pool and it wasn’t heated.

Hadde et fint opphold, men hadde store problemer med renholds gjengen. Vi hadde 4 episoder der de bare låser seg inn på rommet mens vi lå å slappet av. De kakket på en gang, så stormet de inn på rommet som en gaselle uten bekymringer. I tillegg forsvant det et smykke fra rommet vårt…

Hôtel situé à 2 km du waterfront. Possibilité de rejoindre le centre à pied mais privilégié l’usage d’un taxi la nuit en le commandant via l’hôtel. Il faut compter environ 120 rands (6€) la course. Hôtel confortable. Petit déjeuner complet.
