Rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: This property is pet-friendly by approval only. A maximum of 2 pets are permitted with payment of a $100 pet fee per stay. All pets must be disclosed and approved prior to arrival. Pets must be house-trained and properly supervised at all times. Pets may not be left unattended inside the property unless securely crated. Pets are not permitted on furniture or bedding. Guests are fully responsible for any damages, additional cleaning, pest treatment, or violations resulting from pets.

The weekend I stayed here, they were supposed to have 6-12 inches of snow. The host gave us the option to reschedule thinking about our safety. Knowing friends booked traveling plans from out of state, we decided to keep the reservation and just stay inside. The host was VERY accomodating. We didn't ask for anything because they had everything stocked and clearly listed the allotment of certain things on the reservation so we came prepared with extra dishwasher pods, trash bags, towels, etc. Ambience was fantastic, game room was so fun, and the kitchen truly was a full kitchen equipped with everything including mixing bowls. The power and heat never went out, but we were prepared in case it was. There was a clear list on the fridge of how to close down the cabin. Easy instructions. 5 stars and I will rebook when it's warm so we can take advantage of the nearby hiking.

My family and i had a wonderful time at this property! Downstairs game room with the bar was fun and comfortable. Kitchen is very well supplied with everything you need and more! Plenty of seating for sharing meals. Wrap around porch was really nice. Firepit, hot tub with bag game in back yard! We would definitely return for a future stay! Our host, Allison was awesome!

Great house! Spacious with lots of room. Our teenage son and his friend enjoyed hanging out in the basement/man cave/game room! We all enjoyed the hot tub and view. The kitchen had everything you needed...and then some! We will definitely be back.

Phenomenal property! Held a bachelor party of 6 and it has everything we needed for an awesome time. Inside is fresh, spacious and comfortable, then outside is scenic, well-maintained, and just feels remote enough for seclusion while still being relatively close to so many fun activities we did like zip lining, hiking to a massive waterfall, and enjoying the local wines at nearby vineyards. Can't recommend this place enough! Host is very well organized and communications were prompt and professional! Thanks for the memories, Green Acres!

Perfect setup for an amazing getaway!

Loved the property and everything it had to offer. It is in the country, but close to the interstate and main roads. There is a dollar general store about 10 min away and a country mart with all kinds of odds and ends and drinks just around the corner. My husband and I took our two young teenager's ans my niece and nephew who are young adults. We utilized all the fun games in the basement and the big couch where we netflixed and chilled as a family. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking and horse back riding. Even our 4 month old pup loved the house and had no problems with the stairs. There was so much room you didnt feel like you were on top of eachother and everyone had a space to relax togethwr or alone. I have already sent this house to some of my friends to plan a girls getaway this winter! Owner was easy to get ahold of and we had zero issues! Place is clean and perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Carbondale. We had a 7 month old and 2 year old with us as well as 6 adults. The house was very spacious and provided everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing House

The house was amazing! It was stocked so well, the check in instructions were very clear. The house is located so close to many amazing hikes. The rooms were very comfortable; the downstairs area was such a fun entertainment area and the whole house just felt so cozy. Will definitely recommend!!

Loved our stay

We were looking to get out of town for spring break and wanted to have some hiking close by. The house was easy access to Giant City and other parks. The house was clean and well taken care of. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels etc. The decorator did a fabulous job and it was a cozy place to stay for the week. Hot tub was a very nice bonus.. Would definitely stay here again.

Spring break

We took our adult kids on a family spring break vacay. The house is great, although the weather didnt cooperate with all our hiking and outdoor plans, we had a great stay close to other indoor activities such as axe throwing and bowling. The one day we had to make up for lost time lead us to 2 nearby hiking trails w/waterfalls. The 3rd was a bit farther of a drive, but when we got back our achy legs rested quickly in the hot tub followed by a warm fire.

Beautiful house. Lots of lady bugs

I get the weather and the warmth, but there we 100s of lady bugs coming in every available spot in doors and windows. They made the main level and the upstairs unhabitable. The house itself was beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The propert was well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were great additions. The location was great for local attractions and ease of travel. We would definitely stay here again, just not woth warm fall temps.

A wonderful place to stay! So much room with lots of space. We were a group of ladies going to wineries for the day. Loved the hot tub and deck with the fire table when we got back. The inside was clean and spacious. Will definitely come back!

Nice property, overall. Would consider again.

This is a nice house with a communicative owner/manager. The space was good for 2 familes (8 people) including children and an infant. The interior space is very nice and lots of room to hang out on multiple floors. e had a probelm with the washer whiel there and the response was veyr fast. Things were very well communicated to us in advacne of our arrival. There were a few relatively minor things and some of them outside of the ownser control that I will mention, while also noting that I am still giving it 5 stars. First, not all of people in the area are friendly. I grew up in a community 30 monites away from here, and myoverall impression is that the region in general has become less welcoming of percieved outsiders. My brother was harrassed and threatened by a loal while riding his bike on a public road. This guy in a large truck yelled at him. Swerved at him multiple times and followed him for serveal miles at an unsafe distance while flahsing his lights and honking. He also hinted that he has a firearm. My wife and sister-in-law also walked the country roads a few mornings for exercize, and one of the neighbors engaged them at one point and mentioned that she considered them to be brave to wlak the roads because people that lived there would recognize them as outsiders. So that is not a comment about the house, but our experience in the area around the house. It does not seem that all the neighbors are excited about having a VRBO and tourists in the area.
