Mökki + kylpytynnyri, laitamilla Cardiff / Cowbridge, upea maaseudun sijainti

Poikkeuksellinen 200 vuotta vanha latokonversio, joka on hiljattain kunnostettu korkeimmalle tasolle (4 * luokiteltu). Tilava ja viihtyisä avoin suunnitelmamajoitus, jossa on paasi- ja mäntylattiat, paljaat kiviseinät, holvikatot alkuperäisillä palkeilla, puuhella, valtava nahka, kulmasohva / sänky ((istuimet 6+)) ja laadukkaat kalusteet kaikkialla. Kiinteistöä, joka sijaitsee kauniin Glamorganin Vale-alueen sydämessä (kuitenkin vain 20 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Cardiffin keskustasta ja 10 minuutin päässä historiallisesta Cowbridge -kaupungikaupungista), kiinteistöä ympäröi kaikki puolet koskematon maaseutu. Keittiö / ruokailutila ja aula hyötyvät jatkuvista näkymistä monta mailia, alas Llancarfanin laaksoon ja Bristolin kanavan yli Somersettiin. Erinomainen kävely- ja ratsastusmaa ja ihanteellinen tukikohta tutustua Etelä- ja Länsi-Walesiin, The Goweriin, Breconiin, Wye Valleyyn ja sen ulkopuolelle. Mökissä voi nukkua mukavasti 6 henkilöä (mieluiten 4 aikuista plus 2 lasta), mutta aulassa oleva huomattava vuodesohva tarjoaa kuitenkin mahdollisuuden lisätä nukkumiskapasiteettia vielä 2 henkilöllä tarvittaessa. Mökki sijaitsee Llancarfanin laidalla, joka on yksi Valen kauneimmista kylistä sen historiallisella kirkolla (kuuluisa hiljattain löydetyistä keskiaikaisista seinämaalauksista), kauniilla purolla ja pyörrellä sekä palkitulla pubilla; Kettu ja koirat.

Lovely cottage near Cowbridge

We had a fantastic family holiday here. The house was very comfortable and clean and well appointed. Our grandson particularly appreciated the Brio Train Set and all the Lego....not to mention the Tarzan Swing along the lane. Our welcome pack was the best I have ever had. The situation is just beautiful and for us, just perfect for visiting our family in Barry. Only thing to flag up, as we arrived in the dark, we were looking for the Yellow Grit Bin, which isn't there now!!!! It didn't matter too much as we met a lovely young man from the property, who took us the last few metres. We do hope to go back in 2024

Fantastic property and fabulous location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Everything was as described and we received one of the best welcome packsever seen. Jon and Sian were brilliant hosts, attentive but not intrusive. The property has everything you need for a self catering stay and everything was comfortable and clean. The location was also really good. As a family with teens, it was lovely to have a beautiful setting but proximity to Cardiff for plenty of activities etc. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!

Home from home

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this fabulous cottage. My family and I stayed for a week 6-13 August 2022. The hosts really made you feel comfortable and was always on hand if you needed anything not that we did because everything is supplied. They really cater for their guests, washing machine, washing line, towels, etc even a nice welcome gift basket of cakes, bread, milk, which after a long journey is very welcoming. They have a couple of beautiful horses which are indeed very well looked after. It’s like a retreat where you can relax in the hotub, play cards or games, have a barbecue and go on little or long walks. The beds are oh so comfy. We highly recommend this property and if we could we would put more stars. Cardiff shopping is a must and the boat ride at Cardiff bay is fab and you must visit Barry Island which has rides for all, gift shops, restaurants and amusements. I could go on and on. You just need to book.

Wonderful stay, wonderful hosts!

What a fantastic country farmhouse feel to this cottage with beautiful views, amazing hosts, lovely hot tub, a bed to die for and a wonderful fire to warm us up. We cannot recommend this cottage enough, with fantastic hosts who made us so very welcome, from welcome treats and lovely chats to letting our daughter join in with the horses, we will definitely be back!!! Thank you for a lovely much needed week away.

Beautiful cottage.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The owners were friendly and helpful but not intrusive . We could have happily stayed in the cottage for the entire week enjoying the views, the peace and quiet and the hot tub. Ideally situated for country walks, Cardiff, the coastline, Brecon Beacons and more . The children loved sleeping in the attic bedroom and have insisted we return again which we would love to do as there is so much more to explore.

Beautiful family cottage in a gorgeous setting

We had an amazing stay at the cottage with our young family. Nestled in the heart of the welsh countryside we found it peaceful and relaxing. The cottage itself was clean and well equipped and had everything we needed including laundry and dishwasher. The library of books and dvds to use made it really feel like home and we wished we had booked a second week. The kids loved being able to meet the horses every morning on the beautiful walk to the tree swing, which they maintain was one of the highlights of our trip. Loved the hottub too and the hospitality shown. The welcome basked was a lovely touch too. Thanks for a fantastic stay!!

The perfect family retreat

My family and I had such a fabulous time at Jon and Sian's cottage. It's an idyllic spot and was the perfect base for us all to relax in during the week of my daughter's graduation at Cardiff University (Cardiff City is less than half an hour away by car). We took our dog who adored the grounds and the horses, and there was plenty to do around the area. Just an hour away from the Brecon Beacons, we climbed Pen y Fan, and spent time on the coast and enjoyed browsing in Cowbridge (a beautiful village nearby). The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and we were made to feel very welcome. We had all we needed in the kitchen and plenty of space for seven of us. The Dishwasher was a huge bonus but the icing on the cake was the beautiful, relaxing hot tub enjoyed by all. We all truly felt as though we'd had a proper break from the busy life of work and daily chores. Thank you to Jon, Sian and family for our awesome retreat.

A beautiful quiet cottage!

A few weeks, we are 3 weeks stayed in this beautiful quiet cottage, with very friendly owner and fam :) it was a quick search for the location, fortunately Jon has picked us up and brought us to the cottage. Once there, we have enjoyed 3 weeks of the environment and the cottage everything is in the house, so we could make good use of it Greetings from the Netherlands !

Perfect!

We had a wonderful time in this cottage, everything was perfect. Everything you might want in a cottage, you've got it here. Decent pubs nearby, grocery shopping just 5 mins down the road, close to the city, yet wonderfully rural and quiet. You don't even notice the airport that is close by... (honest, this is not being sarcastic, you really do not hear much at all!) We will certainly be looking into booking this cottage again.

We enjoyed the stay in the cottage very much. Very pretty, we even did not use the television the whole week, because we enjoyed the quietness, exquisiteness of the cottage and the nature so much. If we are coming back to the Cardiff area, we will stay here again.

Perfect Christmas Cottage

We stayed here for Christmas & we are so glad we picked this cottage it was perfect. It’s lovely & spacious, everything is set out beautifully, huge kitchen & diner then into living room again spacious with comfy sofas and a chair. We arrived late in the evening to find a beautiful real Christmas tree all decorated, wasn’t expecting that such a lovely thought and very much appreciated, also a welcome pack of bread, milk, biscuits, mince pies & bottle of Prosecco, delicious We had a wonderful warm, cosy Christmas in the cottage it was perfect for us a real get away for us and our 2 dogs. Jon, Sian and their family were so helpful if you needed them they told us of some good walks for the dogs and beaches to visit. The information pack in the cottage also gives you this and where the shops are etc. Porthkerry Country Park was a favourite of ours for walking as it was sheltered and quiet, also Limpet Bay near the power station was good, the beach is big pebbles but you can walk behind the beach on the grass. We will definitely be coming back, such a wonderful cottage, thanks so much for making our Christmas so wonderful.

Llanvithyn Cottage is the perfect place to stay in the Welsh countryside near Cardiff.

We spent two weeks at the cottage, first with our son and his family, and then with friends. It is a perfect place for all generations to enjoy. Our hosts, Jon, Sian and their family all made us feel very welcome and supplied plenty of local interest literature to keep us busy for weeks. We visited beautiful beaches, historic sites, lovely old castles and gardens, and wonderful pubs and restaurants, all within an hours drive. We could have stayed at least another week to enjoy everything. The cottage has all modern conveniences, yet keeps its feeling of a traditional country house. The view is expansive, so it would be easy to just sit and enjoy the ambiance, with or without a good book. We would certainly wish to stay at Llanvithyn Cottage again if the opportunity arose.

Ein wunderschönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Cottage mit wunderbaren, herzlichen Gastgebern

Schöner kann Urlaub im Cottage nicht sein! Das Zauberhafte Cottage ist ganz liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einen so wunderschönen Blick in die schöne Landschaft, dass man gar nicht wegmöchte. Dabei bietet die Umgebung so viel tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Cardiff ist gleich um die Ecke. Das Cottage ist daher der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen jedweder Art. Und die Gastgeber sind so nett, herzlich und aufmerksam, dass wir nur noch einmal von ganzem Herzen danken können! Es war einfach toll!
