”This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel.”

”I have stayed many times to visit my son who attends CMU. This hotel is closest one to the campus that surrounded with good restaurant options. It is about 5 to 10 mins walk to both CMU and Pitts. ”

”Apt was great and spacious, its very convenient to Pitt and CMU but entrance is in a side street that feels like an alley and the immediate area doesn’t feel like a neighborhood so that was only downside. Literally 2 min drive to anywhere but prefer to stay where immediate area is more walkable lively community. For the price and space it was great though.”

”Room was clean. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was basic. Parking was in the city garage with first 3 hours free but overnight $16. Overall good place with some shopping and restaurants, and ice cream places nearby.”

”The place is VERY nice and accommodated everything i had planned with my family. EVERYTHING was there. Beds were very comfortable and hot water in the showers. The kept in communication all the way up to the day leaving. I had family members who are thinking of using this place for gatherings. The pool table and dart board was a nice touch. ”
