Perfect getaway
A beautiful lodge that felt like home. Lovely host Jim gave us some ideas of places to visit. The location was perfect. Central to so many beautiful places, the Lake District and North Yorkshire. Would highly recommend and would love to come back and stay again in the future

Lovely lodge
We stayed fir 4 nights. The owners were welcoming and informative. The lodge had everything you could need. Very clean. I personally found the mattress too hard which affected my sleep, but that's probably just me as I like a softer mattress. Weather was lovely and the site was also spotless. Looking forward to re visiting in October

Thank you for your review, sorry you found the mattress harder than you like but it is not easy providing a mattress to suit everyone. We do our best and what we provide seems to suit the vast majority of our guests. Sorry again but we look forward to seeing you both again in October.

Absolutely fantastic lodge, perfect location - lovely hosts
Perfect lodge in a perfect location. The lodge had everything you could ask for. Perfect for visiting the surrounding areas. We visited Yorkshire and various places in the Lakes from the Safari Zoo to villages and towns within the Lakes. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Warm, cosy, exceptionally clean lodge
Julie & James couldn't be more welcoming. Lodge clean, comfortable & very warm, just what we needed as the weather wasn't kind to us! It also has a bath, which again was very welcome. Lovely staff on site, great pool, not crowded as you have to book in advance. Family friendly, we were allowed a small ball to play with. It cost £20 for a day pass, so we went twice! Excellent food in restaurant too.

Lovely break
We normally holiday outside of the UK, but in these strange times of COVID we did not want to travel by plane. The lodge is lovely. It was immaculately cleaned and prepared ready for our arrival. It has everything ye needed for a 2 week self catering holiday. The location is great too - 35-40 mins to Blackpool, 20 mins to Morecombe, and around the same to the lakes and falls. Recommended!

Fantastic Lodge
We stayed here in August 20, lovely and clean lodge, 25mins from Lakes, close to Derbyshire. Jim and Julie are excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this beautiful homely Lodge which was spotless. Good site with a pool gym and restaurant.

Great return visit
This is a great property owned by fantastic owners, who still managed to sort everything for our arrival, despite not even being in the same country at the moment! Pity that storm Dennis put a bit of a dampener on our trip, but some spectacular views of the waves crashing in at Morecambe!

Half term break...
A lovely property on a very nice site. A short drive from the Southern Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The owners are very friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Lovely place to get away
Great owners!! The lodge is filled with games and movies to keep children busy, you can find everything what you would need inside. Lodge is not far from the places you would like to visit. Loved our stay.

A very relaxing and enjoyable stay
From the moment we expressed an interest in the property, julie and Jim have gone over and above what would be expected to make our holiday special. They welcomed us at the entrance to the park and showed us everything we needed to know and gave some useful tips for places to visit. I cannot praise them highly enough as owners. The property is spotlessly clean and modern with plenty of room for us as a family of two adults and two teenagers. The wifi is fast and facilities good. The site itself is excellent too with a very nice restaurant (book though as it is very popular) and the gym and swimming pool there are both very good. The location is great for visiting the lakes as well as Morecombe and Blackpool. There are plenty of nice places to eat within a short drive. In summary a great holiday and highly recommended.

The property is exactly as described. It is very clean and tidy in great location which allows you to explore the lakes and Yorkshire dales. Julie and Jim are amazing hosts! Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay
What a great way to spend a birthday weekend! From the friendly and warm welcome from Julie & Jim through to the excellent accommodation we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site itself is beautiful and has a restaurant that is good quality but the kids I think liked splashing around in the pool most of all!! We will definitely go back

Very clean and comfortable with really comfy beds.
Good quality furnishings, everything you could possibly need for a break away. Peaceful surroundings, great on site restaurant that serves fab food and is excellent value for money. The owners are very helpful and patient ... even when I got lost on site! Would definitely book again and would have no hesitation in recommending this to others. Thank you, just what was needed.

Gorgeous property
Would highly recommend this property. Everything you need and more. The food in the onsite restaurant is good and not bad price wise, even for the drinks as well. The owners were very welcoming. Will definitely return! Just one minor suggestion would be a location plan of the site as the different areas are not well indicated and we got lost trying to get back the first time.

Thanks for the review and suggestion, there is a map in the information but there is a lot of information so probably not easy to find. We will put a few copies of the site map separately on the side so it is easy for guests to find and they can take one if they want, thanks for the idea. I really nice property with very high standards of cleanliness, hygene and homeliness.
Our hosts, Julie and Jim, met us with a homely welcome and showed us around the cabin. They had made sure that everything we needed was there for us. The site is well organised and we had a lovely 4th Wedding Anniversary dinner in the on-site pub/restaurant. We visited Carnforth Railway Station - the site for the 1945 Brief Encounter film. Morecombe - Eric Morecombe's statue (you will not resist having a picture with him). Blackpool - Madam Tussauds (spookily real) and White Scar Caves at Ingleton - and they are all within easy reach of the lodge site and well worth a visit. We cannot recommend both the site and the accommodation enough to our friends along with Julie and Jim's friendliness such that we are definitely intending to return again and have already recommended this venue to our close family and friends.

We needed a bit of respite and we found this idyllic spot with all the facilities you would ever need. Jim and Julie are charming and very obliging.....can't fault them. Thankyou for providing us with the perfect stay and the broadband is excellent too....we will return.

Marvelous lodge and a really nice couple who own it. Will go again when we have time.
Had a great time in the Lake District, the lodge is a perfect base for getting out and about. Ideally placed for both sides of the motorway and not too far from the shops.The lodge itself is fully furnished so all what was really needed was food and drink.

Great property well looked after and owner was a great help.
Everything you needed in the lodge and the owner was very helpful. The park was great but does need and outdoor play area with facilities for kids. Restaurant was absolutely fantastic and the service was good. but could do with a small shop on site.

Thanks for your review. I have previously spoken to the park management about the two issues you raise and they tell me they do intend to have a play area for kids, not sure when though. Regarding the shop they do not find it economical to have a shop since there are 3 supermarkets in Carnforth which is 2 miles away, I can understand their view on this but hopefully we will get a kiddies play area soon.

Fantastic facility
We came for a relaxing stay for our anniversary and certainly got it. We were so relaxed we were horizontal. The lodge was well furnished and the beds very comfortable. The site resteraunt and bar first class and extremely friendly staff. Unusually, local residential owners that we met were very friendly. (Thanks Barry & Val.) Many thanks to owners Julie & Jim for the use of the lodge We will certainly consider a future stay. Only one comment, the site would benefit from a site shop, with the best planning some things are forgotten when packing toileteries & groceries.

Thanks for your kind and positive review, I note your comments about the shop and this has been raised before by other guests. The site owners say that since there are three supermarkets within 2 miles it is not worth them stocking items for sale, they cannot compete on price and fear a site shop would be uneconomical for them. I will raise it again because if there is sufficient demand then they may reconsider.

Great holiday home in carnforth
We had a lovely family holiday for a few days in carnforth, could not fault the site and the cabin, very clean spacious and modern with excellent facilities. The owners were very friendly and informative. The site is ideal for touring the lakes , would definitely recommend to family and friends and would definitely revisit .

Wonderful time
Coming from France with our two boys it was worth the trip. Julie and Jim are really nice hosts and very helpful. They gave us a lot of precious information about the area, places to visit and pubs. The lodge is very comfortable and it is a very good location to visit Lake District, Cumbria and Yorkshire dales. Only 3 nigths stay, we will surely come back for longer holidays.
