Majatalot – Carnforth

”Very modern, refurbished room, overlooking the beer garden and caravan site. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of goodies in the room, including fresh milk in the mini fridge, and the extra treats you get for staying with a doggo. The bathroom, bed and chairs were all super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. I had dinner in the restaurant, and the staff were super polite and friendly. ”Stayed at the George Washington in room 6 on 15th July. Room very nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer provided flatscreen tv and nice shower and towels. Had our evening meal here to very nice chicken madras and the homemade steak pudding washed down with some nice red wine. Very nice breakfast here full English very tasty and cooked to perfection well worth a stay at the Washington. Old school brewery just behind and the start of the Warton crag walk giving great...

”Quaint, small and friendly”

”The Wheatsheaf is a typical pub hotel. Clean rooms with friendly staff. Breakfast was individually cooked to order and was very good.”

”The accommodation was OK considering the room was above the karaoke bar and facing the street where loads of people were drinking loudly. Minor problems included an amply shower gel dispenser in the shower.”

”The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.”

”Firstly l would point out the staff were excellent and were very helpful. However the room was not great. It was cramped and you had to move the tv (or duck under it) just to get to the bathroom. The road noise was constant despite double glazing. Also had to ask the lovely staff to change the stained pillow cases. When leaving at 10am check out time the place was still locked up, curtains pulled and deserted.”

”What a delightful cosy rooms with showerrooms. Comfortable beds, with well insulation blinds/ curtain for the strong summer sun. Room was copl at night, and good bathroom facilities. We were going to be late, and staff rang to check on our progress. Staff waited until we arrived and showed us our rooms. Breakfast was included but the choice and want we were entitled too was a not clear. Cooked breakfast meals very delicious and tasty.”
