”This hotel offers decent value for money. Room was spacious, bed was ok and the bathroom clean. Plenty of parking available. The area this hotel is in doesn't seem super nice and as far as I know had limited food options especially later in the day. ”

Check-in was good and my boys loved the pizza, but it was very apparent that this location is outdated and smelled old. The outside doors were never locked, so that didn't make me feel very secure. ”All the staff (regardless of what time of day you interacted with them) were very pleasant and got along with one another. The longevity of their time working for The Super 8 in Dunbar is a testament to how they’re treated by management. I stayed at the other 2 hotels in Dunbar and the owner has a big turnover of staff. If you like black mold and questionable bookkeeping (ie., billing inflated) don’t reserve at the Super 8. If you like clean rooms and honest billing then the Super 8 is the place...

”The shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom were empty. They are the large pump bottles and attached in the shower. I contacted the front desk and was told that it would be taken care of. It was not. I am handicapped and was told that I would have to park in the garage. Most hotels advise the guest at check in that a hold will be placed for incidentals. This hotel placed the hold but I was never verbally told that a hold was being placed nor the amount. I have stayed at this property...

”We chose this hotel because it had 2 treadmills. We arrived and 1 was broken. No one knew why or any idea when it would be fixed. More importantly no one cared. Had to spend extra money at planet fitness. Nobody cared.”

”We have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for 8 years. The staff are always welcoming, kind and helpful. My complaint is that new ownership (we were told this by staff) has taken over and the cost of the rooms went up significantly. The cost has outpaced the return and sadly — we will find another place to stay in the future. This is not a reflection on the staff — they are and have always been great.”

”This is a great place to stop after a long drive. I was exhausted from a very stressful day and difficult week. When I entered the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and knew I made the correct decision stopping here. It was very clean, comfortable and safe.”
