Il podere, in zona collinare, si affaccia sull'ampio e splendido panorama della Val d'Orcia, patrimonio UNESCO dell'umanità.
Un'area che coniuga la bellezza unica della campagna toscana con i suoi preziosi centri artistici e termali di Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo...
La sua posizione permette anche di raggiungere in pochi minuti i bei centri medievali del Monte Amiata e i suoi freschi boschi di castagni e faggi, refrigerio per le calde giornate estive.
Si compone di 2 appartamenti.
CASA LETIZIA è al piano alto, ma sul retro ha l'accesso diretto al giardino privato.
Dispone di due camere: una doppia e un'altra con due letti. La cucina è arredata in stile vecchia toscana. Vi si può pranzare, ma lo si può fare pure sul tavolo del soggiorno, dove si trova un divano, poltrone e un bel camino. D'estate è più gradevole consumare il pasto nella piccola loggia, dove si può stare anche semplicemente seduti a bere vino con una vista a tutto campo.
Sul retro dell'appartamento, collegata al giardino che circonda la casa, c'è una terrazza, in parte coperta, con un grande tavolo e delle poltrone, una buona soluzione per rimanere all'aperto anche in condizioni climatiche non eccellenti.
La struttura è circondata da campi seminativi e un grande uliveto.

Perfect stay in Tuscany!

Our stay at the Casa Letizia was the perfect stay for us. The location was central to all of the best that Tuscany has to offer visitors and the views from this property were amazing. The owners made us feel very much at home in the rental and were so nice and easy to work with. They helped us at each point in our stay from check in to check out, making for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you, we will always remember our time experiencing the simple joys of Tuscany!

De locatie was schitterend, fantastisch uitzicht, heel veel privacy. Mooi origineel Toscaans huis, bestaande uit twee appartementen. Wij hadden de bovenste. Bijzonder groot, met verschillende zitplekken, zowel voor als achter, kortom fantastisch. De eigenaresse sprak, buiten het Italiaans, een beetje Frans, en met de vertaal-app en veel enthousiasme, goede communicatie. De echtgenoot sprak goed Frans, dat scheelt, wij weinig Italiaans. Hij had goede tips voor prachtige fietstochten. Fantastisch verblijf.

Felt like we went home! Letizia is an attentive host ready to help and has lived most of her life in the area. Want to know where to go and learn about its history. You don’t need a tourist guide. Stayed 5 days and 6 night, and will extend my next trip.

Tuscany Gem

We had an amazing time in Val D'Orcia region and the casa of Letezia and Giorgio was a big part of it. The views were marvelous, walking through the olive trees of the domain, sitting and sipping a tasty red wine on the terrasse, everything was perfect. Thank-you both for your information of the region and what to see and visit. We will be back.

Stunningly gorgeous Tuscany Scenery!!!

We had an amazing stay at Castiglione d’Orcia. This 2 bedroom home was meticulously spotless and comfortable , with all amenities you would ever need Leticia and Giorgio were outstanding hosts ...helpful, friendly and very obliging ...the views out of all windows was breathtaking and the location was perfect for exploring this area of Tuscany. The true Tuscany experience

Le Rogheta is situated in the ideal location for a true Tuscan experience. All of the stunning hilltop towns on your itinerary are within a short driving distance with panoramic vistas along the way. Book the apartment upstairs to have 3 open terraces, two covered for inclement weather for gorgeous views and outdoor living. Georgio and Letizia are wonderful property owners to attend to any need you might have, yet not intrusive on your privacy. We stayed at Le Rogheta the entire month of May 2019 and could not have chosen a more perfect setting!

Plenty .... and not enough

We enjoyed a great quiet time with a great Tuscan view in the Orcia Valley ! Plenty of things to do and visit in the area were on our list before our journey started ....unfortunately ... when arriving in the holiday house - the magic of the area made our list growing by the day as more things were discovered. In the end, we did not have enough time to complete this .... but : not to worry - we will be back !

Heart of Tuscany

If you would like to be in the heart of the Tuscany countryside, then this is the place for you. My husband slept better than he has in years and it is very quiet. Claudia and her husband were wonderful hosts, despite the language barriers. We loved watching them harvest the olives. The location is central to the major attractions in Tuscany, such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and Bagno Vignoni. My only advise it to type Le Rogheta into your driving directions as the dirt road is easy to miss. We had a wonderful time here.

Ormai siamo ritornati in Olanda già una settimana fa ma pensiamo tutti i giorni alla nostra vacanza a Campiglia d'Orcia.Il nostro soggiorno alla Casa Letizia era meraviglioso.Durante 4 settimane, ogni giorni una altra vista sulla valle d'Orcia, con sole,con nuvolosità, con pioggia, ma sempre bellissima. Anche il giardino, gli uccelli, i fiori e la calme erano per noi una festa!La casa è comoda e disponibile per sentirsi a casa e cuccinare o fare un barbecue.I libri della regione, alcune con bellissima foto, danno l'inspirazione per scoprire questi belli dintorni.Letizia e Giorgio, sempre disposti per aiutare o dare l'informazioni, erano per noi gli ospiti perfetti.Grazie mille encora, non presto dimenticaremoLe Rogheta.Rinus e Elly.

An idyllic getaway in the most beautiful land in Italy

Letizia and Giorgio's place was perfect for our 2 week fall getaway. It has breathtaking views of Val'Orcia. It was quiet with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The apt. Is spacious, attractive, and furnished in classical Tuscan style. A great homebase for daytime outings to destinations like Pienza, Montelpuciano and Abbadia San Salvatore, pecorino cheese farm tours and wine tastings . Giorgio and Letizia are welcoming and interesting hosts but also afford guests their privacy. We'd love to get back there soon. A great deal for the price.

Amazing

We have become so fond of this property. It greatly exceeded our expectations. It is a wonder - a working olive farm with numerous fruit trees ( a marvelous cherry tree in season while we were there), amidst a natural wood, overlooking the perfection of Tuscan valleys and hilltop towns in the distance. Walking around this property was as fulfilling as anything we did on our Tuscany vacation. The house itself was spacious, classic, and fully functional. It takes you back in time a but without losing any convenience. The owners were lovely, genuinely friendly and helpful. We loved them. We also enjoyed the hamlet a few minutes up the road. All non-pretentious, all rooted in the splendor of nature. This is precious retreat.

Le bien être dans le Val d'Orcia

On ne saurait où commencer pour décrire notre séjour dans cette propriété qui a tout pour plaire. D'abord la situation de la propriété est sans égal, surplombant une vallée du Val d'Orcia d'où l'on peut répérer Pienza et San Quirico d'Orcia au loin. Nous avions l'impression de vivre dans une carte postale, surtout le matin, au lever du soleil, lorsque la lumière baigne la colline d'en face d'une lueur rosée. De plus, nous étions dans le calme complet. En entrant dans Casa Letizia, l'appartement où nous étions, nous avions l'impression d'entrer chez quelqu'un de la famille. Les jolies armoires, les fauteuils confortables, les images sur les murs, la literie brodée ont personnalisé l'espace et nous ont permis de nous sentir chez nous. L'espace dont nous disposions aurait suffi à une famille de quatre sans difficulté, ou même à deux couples. Et enfin, les hôtes: Letizia et Giorgio qui ont été accueillants, généreux et, surtout, patients avec nos efforts de parler italien. La gentillesse et l'ouverture de ce couple ont fait que notre séjour a été exceptionnel et nous font envie de revenir le plus vite possible. Grazie mille!

Als wir ankamen war ich sehr glücklich, dass das Haus und die Landschaft noch bezaubernder waren als auf den Bildern dargestellt. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und haben uns die ganzen drei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus, in dem wir im oberen Stock gewohnt haben, ist gut ausgestattet und gemütlich und die Terrasse ein schöner Ort zum Essen, Lesen, Verweilen. Wir wollten dort arbeiten (es war kein reiner urlaub) und Letizia hat dafür gesorgt, dass WLAN verfügbar war. Das Gastgeber-Ehepaar ist sehr Gastfreundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Man kann das Gefühl bekommen, dort auch ein wenig zu Hause zu sein. Wir haben von dort aus perfekt die Natur und die Kultur der Umgebung erkundet, waren wandern im märchenhaften Wald und essen in kleinen Restaurants. Auch die Schwefelthermen sind einen Besuch wert. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell überall. Ich möchte mich bei den Beiden herzlich für die schöne Zeit und die netten Gespräche bedanken. Trotz fehlender Sprachkenntnisse konnten wir uns verständigen und begegnen. Dankeschön! When we arrived I was very happy that the house and the landscape were even more enchanting than shown in the pictures. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable for the whole three weeks. The house, where we stayed on the upper floor, is well equipped and cosy and the terrace a nice place to eat, read, linger. We wanted to work there (it was not just a holiday) and Letizia made sure that wifi was available. The host couple is very hospitable and always helpful. You can get the feeling of being a bit at home there. From there, we perfectly explored the nature and culture of the surrounding area, went hiking in the fairytale forest and ate in small restaurants. The sulphur springs are also worth a visit. You can get anywhere quickly by car. I would like to thank both of them for the wonderful time and the nice conversations. Despite our lack of language skills, we were able to communicate and meet each other. Thank you!

Questa lunga vacanza toscana , 5 settimane dalla fine di luglio a fine agosto, è stata splendida non solo per i borghi visitati, per i paesaggi che sembrano dipinti ma anche e, soprattutto, per la splendida Casa Letizia in cui abbiamo soggiornato. In primis: la posizione. La si raggiunge dopo aver percorso un breve tratto boscoso( strada sterrata che non crea alcun problema) molto suggestivo, e la si scopre adagiata su un poggio , verdissimo e molto curato dai proprietari, che sembra una terrazza sulla valle sottostante. La proprietà si compone di due ampli appartamenti ristrutturati con molta cura e attenzione, unità indipendenti che godono di spazi propri e di spazi comuni. Casa Letizia, l’appartamento dove abbiamo soggiornato , è al primo piano , ed è raggiungibile sia da una scala esterna alla struttura con un piccolo terrazzino antistante l’ ingresso principale, sia dal lato posteriore, dove gode di una grande terrazzata , di un dehor, ( entrambi molto ben attrezzati ) e di un giardino ad utilizzo privato. L’ interno , molto confortevole, è arredato con gusto e l’appartamento, che ha aperture su tutti i quattro lati della casa, è molto luminoso. Essendo in zona collinare, siamo alle pendici dell’Amiata, la temperatura è l’ ideale per affrontare la caluria estiva. I proprietari gentilissimi e grandi conoscitori del luoghi circostanti ci hanno fatto sentire come se fossimo a “ casa”. Insomma, l’ideale per chi desidera una vacanza di relax, silenzio e natura. Esperienza che non dimenticheremo.

Prachtig huis op een fantastische plaats

We hebben erg genoten van onze vakantie op de Rogheta. Het huis is prachtig en het uitzicht is fantastisch. Er zijn leuke overdekte en niet overdekte zitjes op verschillende plaatsen om het huis en in de tuin. Zo kan je heerlijk buiten ontbijten of lekker een boekje lezen. In de omgeving is genoeg te doen en te zien. Letizia en Giorgio bedankt voor de gastvrijheid!

Perfect

This is an ideal rental for a relaxing time in Tuscany. With a lovely view of the Val de Orcia, this property is well maintained, comfortable, and convenient. It is close to several of the Tuscan hot spots, Montepulciano, Prienza, Montalcino, but to be honest, we preferred to hang out at the rental and enjoy this beautiful property. The hosts, Giorgio and Leticia, are friendly and accessible. They have been renting these two apartments for over 20 years and go to great lengths to ensure that all your needs are met. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Tuscany.

Traumunterkunft mit herrlichem Blick in die toskanische Landschaft inmitten eines großen Gartens

Großzügiges toskanisches Landhaus mit viel Platz im und ums Haus. Rund ums Haus verschiedene Sitzgelegenheiten, sonnig oder schattig, wie man möchte.Das Haus liegt in Alleinlage inmitten eines riesig großen Gartens, mit Bäumen und Plfanzen aller Art (Zypressen, Lavendel, Weintrauben,Granatapfel, Pflaume, Kirsche u.v.,m.), angrenzend an einen Olivenhain, mit weitem Blick in die herrliche toskanische Landschaft. Das Haus ist komfortabel eingerichtet, im klassisch toskanischen Stil, das Bett extrabreit und superbequem. Vor allem der unvergleichliche Blick in die Landschaft ist atemberaubend! Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen hilfsbereit, flexibel und sympathisch. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir jederzeit gerne wieder kommen würden!!

Gorgeous and peaceful place!

We loved this little farm house! In fact I want to move there! It is out of the fray of the towns and a great place to rest after visiting large cities. A 30 to 40 minute drive to to larger towns but well situated for a good home base to explore the region. Our host Letizia was great!

beautiful, welcoming, peaceful oasis in heart of southern Tuscany

We stayed in Casa Letizia for four days and it was one of the highlights of our month in Italy. The view over the valley is just as lovely as pictured, the location is perfect for exploring nearby food and history in medieval towns, the house was immaculate and comfortable, and Letizia went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and make us feel at home. Hope to go back someday soon.

Beautiful views of Tuscany

Casa Letizia was the perfect location for our recent vacation in Tuscany. This charming home was comfortable for our group of four, close enough to many places that we wanted to visit in the area, and set in beautiful countryside with stunning views. The owner was warm and welcoming, and the house was clean and neat. The only challenge for me was the overly firm mattress, something I have encountered in other lodgings in Italy as well. I solved the problem by putting one of the thick extra blankets on top of the mattress and under the sheet. A padded mattress cover might be a better permanent solution. That said, everything else was fine, and I would definitely stay there again.
