”This hotel wasn't quite what the reviews led us to expect. After driving over 10 hours from South Florida with our family of five, we were looking forward to a smooth overnight stay. Based on the Expedia reviews and affordable rate, this seemed like a good halfway stop to our destination. We arrived around 11:30 PM and stood in the lobby for about five minutes without seeing anyone at the front desk. I ended up calling the hotel from my cell phone, and someone immediately answered and came out...

”The room was clean and it was nice and cool when we entered. The breakfast was a good Southern breakfast. Coffee bar was well stocked and good. Outback was right next-door and walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We’ll stay here again when we visit our son.”

”Staff was very nice but the property sorely needs to be updated. Tiles cracked on bathroom floor, furnishings dated & look dirty. Carpet was filthy. Very ill fitting shower curtain that would not stay in place so the bathroom was all wet when done showering. Was not anywhere near worth was we were charged”

”the staff at check-in was overwhelmed... long line with some people had problems... no pool... confused etc. Our check-in was quick. The next morning everyone was extra friendly. the room seemed clean overall. RM 418 could use a carpet cleaning and need some towel hooks next to the shower.”

”The public areas needed a good cleaning. Rhee was what appeared to be a blood smear on the hallway wall upstairs. When I mentioned it I was told “ I’m only a desk clerk”. The breakfast was weak at best. The room was clean. They allowed us to use a small business room to have pizza in with our dogs. There were people outside smoking “skunk weed”. But for the price I guess that’s what you get.”

”The room was extremely large and very quiet. Bathroom was nice and clean. Issues? Yes, two chicken McNuggets were left on the floor just under the bed but VERY easily seen. Yes, you read this right. The couch had a nice stain on the side towards the window, and it looked very fresh. Not a problem for the night since I did not use the couch. With the two McNuggets that were left for me and the stained couch, I don't think the room was a clean as it may have appeared.”
