I am not scared of the atmosphere of living plant and animal nature, I love it. but when there is dirt and terrible chaos around, garbage is lying around the territory and you are met by a man in terrible dirty clothes… I felt dangerous and wanted to run away. the road to the hotel is terrible and has one-way traffic. swamp and darkness. I have no idea what to do if someone comes the other way. feeling unsafe and dirty. we said that we did not want to stay...

”This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly, breakfast was excellent with good quality products…. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, but the menu is varied and the people I saw eating seemed to be enjoying themselves. It’s less than 10 mins from the A38, through country lanes which makes you feel as if you are a lot farther from the hustle and bustle than you actually are…..a gem of a find and I will be back….”

”An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months”
