Cayton Bay and beach The photograph is taken from near to the bottom of a steep, metalled path ( https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1776491 ) from the cliff top and car park ( https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1776414 ) above. In the left foreground can be seen the boulder clay that the local cliff is made from and the cause of so much land slippage in recent years. The red bricked building (upper left) is the Yorkshire Water Cayton land drainage pumping station. The bungalows on the cliff top in the distance are built on the site of the former NALGO holiday camp and have been the subject of press interest in recent years because of the previously mentioned land slippage. Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect.
