”I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.”

”The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.”

”Easy to park, even though it was busy when we arrived (8pm on a Sat Eve), and received a warm welcome at Reception. Room adequate for what were required - a place to stay for a night - but could have been paid a bit more attention - the two chairs in the room were looking tired and threadbare. Bed a little uncomfortable for our liking, so not a great nights sleep for us.”

”The nicest place to stay in! The service, the room, the comfiest bed, the perfect breakfast! Five minutes walk to the peaceful riverside where you can walk or half an hour with the train and you’re in the middle of hustle and bustle. And after a busy day in the city you can come back, have a nice dinner, maybe a pint and you’re already in your accommodation! ”
