Peaceful cabin with Black River frontage in Northern Michigan!

Getaway cabin with 418’ of Black River frontage on the inland waterway. Travel by any type of vehicle down a well-maintained two-track to serenity. Fish, swim, boat and enjoy the peaceful views around a campfire. Restaurants, Mackinac Island, and ORV trail systems all nearby!!! Two bedrooms with queen beds and a large sectional couch (sleeps four adults comfortably, with extra room on section, ideal for children). Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. Towels, bedding, and basic needs provided. Mini-split A/C and heat unit will make your stay comfortable from early Spring to late Fall. The whole property is yours throughout your stay, with large yard areas surrounding the cabin, great for children and pets are welcome for a pet fee. Two docks available for use for boating, swimming, and fishing.

Perfect getaway

Peaceful, comfortable cabin made for the perfect getaway. Though there are homes nearby, the cabin is secluded and quiet. Lovely spot along the river. Cabin stocked well for staying in and cooking. Fishing off the dock was a plus. We would definitely rent again!

If you want a break from civilization while still having amenities, this is the place. It was quiet except for bird song. Walking down the road is a treat. We had a great week there.

Secluded Paradise on the Black River

Strong AC, excellent wifi, and a lovely welcome gift. The property was clean, well maintained, and sits right on the Black River, which is so scenic and private that it feels like an introvert's dream. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Hidden Gem

Serene and relaxed stay. The view of Black Lake from the cabin is amazing. We caught perch and pike off the dock.The bed is very comfortable. It was cool at night and the heater kept the cabin at a comfortable temperature. The owner is very friendly. We would like to thank you for a wonderful stay and for all the gifts you gave us!

Black River Cottage

We loved this home away from home! Absolutely peaceful and sooo quiet! It's a little off the main road, yet, close to shopping, dining, beaches, and touristy sites. Exceptionally clean. Well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. You will be right on the Black River. We brought our kayaks and were actually able to row against the current. Very calm river.

Family recharge

My family's vacation plans hit some unexpected snags and I found this gem last minute. We could not be more pleased with our stay here. The cabin was cozy, clean, and outfitted with everything we could need. The host was very attentive and welcoming. The property was well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. Lovely cabin!

We loved our stay! The picture’s don't do it justice. They hd everything we needed, then some! My son loved fishing off the docks. In addition to the fish and crayfish found, we had a visit from a snapping turtle. Loved sitting outside in the mornings listening to the birds and around the campfire at night.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing time staying here. It was nice and secluded with a river to fish off of. The place was super clean and had everything you need for a good stay and the host was super nice and helpful and would respond very quickly. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice getaway.

Serene Spot on the river

We would recommend this cottage to anyone who enjoys views of a tranquil river, a variety of birds, and lots of peace and quiet. Although the location feels very private, the cottage is close to restaurants, stores, and other fun venues.

Simply Wonderful!

We love this cabin and you just cannot beat the secluded location. This spot is a birder's paradise! The beds are firm yet comfortable as well as the couch. Coffee on the screen porch every morning was the best! We highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Perfect peaceful cabin

This cabin is located way off the beaten path along the Black River. It was a perfect place for some peaceful rest and relaxation. Though it’s secluded, Cheboygan is only a 10 minute drive away for some great restaurants and shopping and Mackinaw City only 30 minutes away to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Great place to get away from things for a while. Loved it!!
