When we arrived on a Saturday late afternoon, it was like entering a nightclub. There was a wedding with an open DJ above the bar area. It was so loud you couldn’t easily hear the staff. When in our room, the music was booming through. We asked to move to another room and they were able to facilitate this. Staff were polite and helpful.
The room itself was good; a small but functional bathroom, very comfy bed and good blackout blinds. The window needed a lot of adjustment to close it which took a long time but eventually was shut. Nice to have windows that actually open though.
Breakfast was as expected. Quite a good range of food but juices were sub standard, more like a weak squash than a juice.
Overall, we slept fairly well and the room was fine but entering a hotel and feeling like you were in a club meant we didn’t want to have a drink at the bar or stay downstairs at all. This may have been a very different experience on a different day.
