”I was in need of a hotel room at relatively short notice for a basketball tournament that I was refereeing. I came across the Finger Lakes Inn as it was just a short drive away from where the tournament was being held. Nestled in the Adirondack, it is a pleasant and quaint place to stay. If you like the modern "cookie cutter" hotels this is not it. The rooms have a "cabin in the woods" feel to them, and I mean that is a very good way. The restaurant is very pleasant and my food was excellent....

We had a one night stay here and we couldn’t enjoy the activities due to the weather on that day but we were allowed to enjoy the kayaking swimming in the lake the nest day despite our stay was expired which was the best part for us. The receptionist accidentally re-charged me for the same booking- which when I inquired about later since it exceeded the typical hold for damages the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and immediately refunded the money. They used keys instead of updated key pads. There was no lotion in the room which is not a huge deal. I bring my own supplies. Breakfast I was told was at 7 for grab and go and 7:30 for hot food. ”Friendly staff Nice playground Pool and slide were both fun but kiddie pool was "under maintenance" during our entire stay. Regular pool has a VERY strong chlorine smell. Many kids there were coughing a lot after using it. Irritates your eyes just being in the pool room. Breakfast was decent -- waffle makers, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, sausage, eggs Room was clean but no vent in bathroom so it gets humid in there and drain did not work great”

In the future I’m planning to bring more food since size of the fridge is decent, in that way I won’t care about breakfast. Overall it was great for the price!”
