Booked 2+ months in advance. Checked both their website and Expedia to ensure rooms were avaliable. They cancelled our booking around 11:30am the day of our 2-day stay and did not communicate this with Expedia. Instead, sent us an email that they overbooked their rooms and ours was cancelled. We spent 3 hours looking for another hotel in the area with no luck as our event had drawn a crowd. Sonder really didn’t know they overbooked until day of or did they just want to jack up their prices and give our room out? Either way, poor communication and poor experience. Day of people...come on. By the way, there is a club in their building and it was loud an crowded at all hours. Our event was next door so we could still check out the scene.
