”We went over to fish the McDonald tournament and were looking for a place on the North end of the Lake. found a couple places to rent but after looking at reviews felt like this cabin would suit our needs. The house was as described, probably a little over a mile to the Shirley Creek Marina which is just a handful of boat ramps accessible due to low water. ”This was a perfect spot for me to stay during the week between my SFA student’s concert and move-out. WiFi was great for my work-from-home computer, flat was cozy and had everything I needed, and it was an easy walk to campus. ”Check in was easy and host very friendly. The cabin was nicely appointed with comfortable beds and plenty of towels and supplies. It is a rustic cabin so don't expect the Hilton, but we had plenty of room to relax. Great fire pit out back. Lots of beds upstairs for kids (or adults).. ”The cabin was clean and very nice for what it is. Full kitchen with dishes. Nice sitting areas inside and out. Only issues we had was the charging plugs. There are two cabins plus a camper being rented on this property. There aren’t enough plugs to accommodate all of them and the main issue is they are not 110 volt plugs. They are camper plugs, luckily one of the other tenants had an adapter and we had a 3-way plug to make it work. All in all I would stay again, but the charging issue is a major...

”Our family hosts a family reunion every year in Cushing Tx. We normally block off rooms in the area and stay in hotels, however it was homecoming weekend so everything was booked in town. We decided to rent with VRBO which was a better idea, even though we were 40 min out of the area, the comfortability, cleanliness and the beautiful landscape made it worth the drive. Everything happens for a reason we enjoyed this over the hotels. 5 star review per our family.”
