Welcome to our newly renovated 2 bedroom/2 bath condo situated right on Turquoise Bay in St. Croix.
The view from our gallery is amazing. It is a wonderful place to watch the sunrise while having your morning coffee or have a cocktail while looking at the beautiful ocean colors. Not only does the condo have a beachfront view, it has direct beach access from the secure gallery. Imagine stepping onto the beach and into the Caribbean from your living room, or master bedroom gallery!
Unit 101D at Colony Cove has all the amenities of home with in-suite laundry, brand new kitchen cabinets, three TV's, new appliances, new mattresses, hotel quality bed linens and towels, newly tiled and decorated bathrooms, tropical decor throughout, and a breath taking view that will keep you coming back to this vacation rental.
Outside, enjoy sunny afternoons by the in ground pool, or explore the underwater sea life in front of the condo. You can play and discover the area's three golf courses, ATV rides, downtown art walk, feed the island's famous beer drinking pig, or purchase a lasting memory of your unique Caribbean vacation by visiting the local artisans who create their one of a kind sterling or gold bracelets, necklaces, and rings.

SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control.

The condo was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities you would want from a VRBO. We made breakfast most mornings and packed up the large cooler they had and headed to various beaches. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room in the closets and dresser to keep your clothing. We would definitely stay there again!! The view was spectacular!! Thanks Susan & Carl :)

The unit is very nice. The images in the listing are accurate and what you see is what you will actually get. The amenities made the unit feel more like a home away from home rather than an empty rental unit.The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. My back didn't hurt all week. I wish people would include more of this sort of info in a review. Carl and Susan were a pleasure to deal with and answered all our questions promptly.

We stayed at the colony cove condos.

We were really impressed by the neat, clean appearance of the property and friendly attitude of security personnel and manager Kevin. Unit was very clean when we arrived. Kevin let us in and made us feel comfortable before leaving. The owner did a fantastic job with having helpful tips and suggestions written up with where to eat, sunbathe, or hang out! Definitely already looking at date for next visit!

Great condo with a superb ocean view!

This condo was definitely "home away from home". It had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable with very nice decor. The manager was extremely helpful and responsive. The owners were very helpful and responsive. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms including ceiling fans. There is only a ceiling fan in the living room. We opened the sliding glass door to the veranda and the front door and there was always an excellent breeze flowing through the room. Unfortunately, all the Caribbean Islands are having a problem with seaweed coming from Bermuda. So every morning, the workmen would clean the beach, but by evening the seaweed was back. There are so many shells on the beach that we enjoyed collecting. We never swam in the water in front of the building, but we took several snorkeling trips. The best one was to Buck Island - gorgeous coral. We rented a car from the manager of the unit and drove all over the island. I highly recommend this unit and will definitely be back sometime in the future.

Peaceful & relaxing

Our first time visiting St. Croix and using Home Away. On arrival walking through the door and looking straight ahead to see the ocean~oh my! How beautiful!! The condo is as described and everything mentioned was provided. We have absolutely no complaints. The beach there may not be the most perfect on the island to swim in but the snorkeling was great! There are fish out in the tire reef!! We highly recommend renting a vehicle, specifically a Jeep! If you are worried about driving on the left side don't be. You quickly learn :) and the freedom of taking off on the island and exploring was awesome! You will not get lost, the island is small enough no matter where you go you will find your way around. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us, we so enjoyed the lanai~best place to relax and oh that warm breeze!! Loved it so much! Totally quiet & relaxing!!

No need to look any further--THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!

Tropical Paradise has it all! The water views when walking in the door are breathtaking! The condo has everything you could ask for...beach towels, snorkel equip, beach chairs & it goes on. The bedrooms are a great size with comfortable beds & a/c units however, the trade winds keep it cool & breezy & we never had to turn them on. The kitchen has everything also for eating in & the convenience of a washer/dryer unit. Everything was clean & nicely decorated and many books are available. The lanai is AWESOME! It's much larger than in the photos & we spent many hours out there, coffee in the morning to cocktails in the evening. The condo is just 2 miles from Christiansted where there's a boardwalk on the water with restaurant/bars, shopping and much more. The architecture is amazing and you'll find chickens & roosters roaming the streets & sidewalks. We rented a Jeep to explore the whole island which I recommend if you're able. There's so much to see! The island is beautiful & offers so many different views from every side. We found a smaller beach in Fredricksted called Rainbow Beach that offers Jet ski's, snorkeling, beach volleyball and more. It tends to be calmer on that side & offers a restaurant where you can watch the sun set. And you HAVE to make a point to kayak in the Bioluminescent Bay, it's truly magical! And of course, snorkeling at Buck Island. There's so much to do here but at the end of the day, coming back to this Tropical Paradise and it's central location, is the cherry on top! Great condo right on the water

I walked into the condo and looked straight through and saw the water. Absolutely beautiful. I was worried about the living room and kitchen not being air conditioned but with the sliders and front door open there was a great breeze. The air conditioners in the bedrooms were nice. My favorite part of the condo and even St.Croix was the lanai! I spent a lot of time on a rocking chair watching the colors of the water change. The Cove is perfect for swimming, warm and crystal clear. There is even a tire reef for snorkeling. I would highly recommend this condo for a stay in St. Croix!

Perfect Location

This was our first vacation renting a condo and we picked a great place. The unit is modern and decorated in a tropical theme. With the beach right outside, we sat on the lanai and watched the waves in the morning. We could hear the waves at night. The pool was recently remodeled and located just outside our front door. Everyone from other renters to workers to owners were so friendly and helpful. The owners have the unit well maintained and filled with everything we needed and kept us well informed about the unit and the island. There is a grocery store just up the hill and 2 restaurants along the beach.( The Golden Rail had the best $2 tacos on Wednesday.) The bedroom air conditioning units kept us cool at night. The beach is rocky with seaweed but lots of shells and you can snorkle right there. We did rent a car to explore the island and cities and find other beaches. We were very lucky to find this place.

The property is clean, bright and has everything you might think you need for your vacation.

We came to St. Croix for a wedding and might not have ever visited the island otherwise. I also used VRBO to book the unit, which was also my first time using. The property looks exactly like the pictures. Our stay there was very quiet and peaceful - we loved that we could relax and enjoy the water and the sun right outside the condo. The condo is well cared for, no bugs and very clean. We stayed in and cooked for most of our trip and the only suggestion I have is a fan in the kitchen area to circulate while cooking. It was very humid for our trip, came right as hurricane Matthew just passed through the Bahamas, but the ocean breeze was lovely and we kept the back door and front door open until we went to bed. The condo is a great location and very secure. We spent many nights outside and the security attendant makes regular walks. The condos are also in a gated community with code only access. You definitely can't go wrong with staying at Colony Cove and if I ever come back I will book this condo again. The owners are very nice and made sure our stay was comfortable. Sincerely, Kim C.

Breath-taking

Carl and Susan's condo is the PERFECT St. Croix location! You walk out onto the patio and you're on the beach! Only a 10 minute taxi ride (4$) to Christensted! The condo has everything you could need regarding kitchen items, tv channels, movies and games if the weather is bad! The spacious condo makes it nice not to be on top of one another. Colony cove is also extremely safe with 24/7 security and all gated entrances! 2 restaurants within a 5 min walk of the condo! Couldn't have picked a better condo!!!

Excellent condo on St. Croix!

This condo was top-notch! Our favorite part was the fact that the building in which the condo was located sits forward in front of the other condos located beside it. From the gallery, the only view you will see in front of you is the clear blue water. I'm not sure if it is because we visited during the off season, but there were not many people around during the first part of the week, and it seemed almost as if we had the whole beach to ourselves (very quiet and relaxing). We spent most of our time in the gallery or on the beach, but the inside rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. My only complaint about the condo would be the mattress in the master. It was extremely firm, which I'm not used to. Beach lounge chairs, beach towels, and snorkel equipment were all there and ready to use. The grounds are very well maintained, and we appreciated having a security gate at the entrance and security personnel keeping an eye on the property. Having the safe available for stowing valuables also brought peace of mind. The local property manager and owners are very helpful and quick to respond to any messages or issues that may come up. My husband and I stayed at a hotel in the town of Christiansted on our last trip, and this place was so much better! If you want to go into Christiansted to shop or eat out, then it's only a short car ride away. We would definitely choose to stay here again for future trips.

Great View, Clean Place

My wife and I stayed here for a week for some relaxation. The condo was very clean had a patio that opened onto a beach where you can watch the sunrise and had plenty of clean towels and linens. The owners provided a list of favorite places and charters, this was a great help for scheduling tours and picking hidden gem restaurants. I would stay again, great value.

Exactly as described . . . right on the water . . . and wonderful

It was nice to be able to walk off the porch and go straight into the water to snorkel. Place is comfortable and easy to relax. For our first trip to St. Croix, we found that the locals are lazy outside of the condo complex and have no ambition. There are many workers from mainland there and they are most helpful as they want to make you happy so you want to return. Recommend renting a jeep as some roads can be quite rough. I recommend driving around the island at the beginning of your trip as there is so much to see. Last day we went the East end and we should have gone much earlier in the trip. We plan to rent from Carl and Susan again! Have Fun!!

Wonderful Stay!

This condo was beautiful! Very clean and welcoming. We picked the hottest time of the year to be there; a/c units helped immensely. All questions were answered. A nice place to stay

This is a lovely condo. Everything in the kitchen worked perfect. The a/c in the master bedroom & the second bedroom worked great and the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. The water pressure is good, parking is plentiful, you're close to two large grocery stores, and, Christiansted is a quick five-minute drive away. It's a lot of fun to watch the sea planes land and takeoff (you have a great view from the patio). The grill next to the pool worked perfect, the pool was well-maintained, the grounds in the complex are clean and beautiful. The management crew at the complex are nice people. For two people, this is a great place to stay. If you had four adults, it may get a bit crowded. And, the bed in the guestroom (I took a nap there one afternoon, just to see how it was) is awful. It's two twin beds pushed together and the mattresses are less comfortable than the floor. But, if there's just two of you--this may be the best bargain in St. Croix. Make sure to check-out Rainbow Beach (great snorkeling) and Cane Beach (great shanty bar with wonderful fresh fried calamari). We hope to go back in a year or two.

Best location on the island!

I feel a need to write this review based on Keith C. comments regarding the sargassum weed. This was our second stay at the condo and the weed was an issue. However, this is part of nature and neither Susan or the condo staff has control over it. It in no way took away from the beauty of the condo, the amazing view and the perfect location on St. Croix. The staff of Ray and Jenner worked many hours daily to clean up the weed in addition to their many other duties. Susan is great to work with, the condo is impeccably clean, a wonderful pool area, 2 great restaurants within walking distance and a very polite and helpful staff. We will be back in 2016 sargassum weed or not!

Great Christmas in Colony Cove

We had a wonderful vacation in your condo at Colony Cove. Everything we needed was supplied plus the extra touches upon arrival of fresh flowers & a bottle of Cruzan rum. Everyone at the complex was friendly & helpful. We liked the fact that the condo was in a great location, close to the grocery store & to places to eat. We already plan to return next Christmas to St Croix. Thank you for allowing us to rent your condo & giving us the best family vacation we have ever taken.

A bit of paradise

We chose this condo, best location of all the condos in Colony Cove, for our 4th time on-island. We wanted to be able to step off the lanai onto the beach & be only a few feet from the water - this condo is that place. Perfectly staged, we opened the front door & saw straight through to the sea. We spent many an hour reading and rocking on the lanai! Great idea to have two rocking chairs. Beautiful remodel!! We wanted to be close to Christiansted, it was perfect. I love seaplanes, so a surprise treat was watching Seaborne planes landing & taking off close by. We're not much into tourist attractions, so we were very comfortable having this be our home for 11 days. However, if you want to hit the tourist venues, this is a great home base. Walking distance to Breezez restaurant. Definitely a contender for our eventual return to STX in a couple of years!! We plan to snowbird on STX, so looking for 3+ month rentals.

excellent vacation condo!!

This condo was excellent, everything you need to make your vacation comfortable. The view was amazing and the breeze at night was refreshing. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance from the beach. We also enjoyed the pool. Your steps away from the beach. Susan & Carl were very informative. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Susan & Carl for letting us enjoy your amazing place!
