”The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. ”

”この宿泊施設はバラ園に囲まれた、300年前の歴史ある建物を見事に改装しています。部屋の内装は古い雰囲気を感じさせながらも、スマートなライトなどの現代的なアメニティも取り入れられ、ユニークな雰囲気が魅力的でした。温かいスタッフのおもてなし。スタッフ全員が本当に優しい方々で、雪の日には傘を持って出迎えてくれました。その心遣いに感動し、滞在中ずっと暖かい気持ちで過ごせました。愛らしい犬ちゃんの存在。施設にはとてもかわいらしい犬ちゃんがおり、その存在が滞在をよりほっこりとしたものにしてくれました。特に犬ちゃんと遊ぶ時間は思い出深いものになりました。特別な食事体験夕食ではイタリア料理を楽しむことができ、特にイノシシの焼肉は絶品でした。朝ごはんは和食で、特に自家製のジャムが絶品でした。地元の食材を使った贅沢な朝食は、日本の美味しさを満喫できました。特別なイベントの演出宿泊日が彼女の誕生日だったため、事前にケーキのリクエストをしました。スタッフの方々は心を込めてケーキを用意してくれ、彼女も大変喜んでくれました。特別な瞬間を演出してもらえて感激です。 ”

”I recommend Genjikoh for the amazing Japanese experience of enjoying the open bath overlooking the ocean and the various activities in the hotel such as the scent workshop. We booked a room for 5 and it was spacious and was pleasantly surprised it has 2 toilets. The sea view was breathtaking. We don’t book the meals as we don’t eat raw food but we had difficulty finding a good eatery outside as there are few amenities nearby and they close early. This place is great for those who drive but...

”The guesthouse is lovely and if you are lucky you may see the mount Fuji from all the clouds. The walk to the lake is nice, through some small streets and plantations. It is quite remote in the sense that often you have to take a train, bus and a taxi to get to the guesthouse. So plan for the long travel. There was no pick-up service offered and when leaving we got a ride because another family had a baby with them, but then it had to be on their schedule. ”

”Bestilte og fikk et veldig flott rom med egen onsen. I tillegg til veldig god middag og frokost på privat spiserom, så var det vel verdt pengene å ha tilgang til egen varmtvannskilde utendørs, døgnet rundt. Servicen var også upåklagelig, med veldig hyggelig betjening. En av de ansatte kjørte oss til og med til riktig busstopp ved utsjekk, når vi innså at vi hadde kjøpt feil billett. Vil absolutt anbefale plassen om man ser etter et avslappende opphold for en dag eller to.”
