”No management/staff are at the Settle Inn, so you have to walk to the Super 8 for that. Sheets were dirty; Super 8 supplied new sheets. No shampoo, conditioner, or soap in room. Half the light bulbs were burned out. WiFi wasn’t working, and the Super 8 staff wasn’t able to fix it (required management who wasn’t there). So that means TV didn’t work, either. ”I was very disappointed when I got to the Dakota. There were no signs on there website stating the pool was closed or when I called I didn’t get a heads up. They do offer a 10% discount for the pool being closed but you have to call a completely different number and get “approved” for your discount. We got our room number and as we were walking the hall ways were ice cold to the point it was uncomfortable. The hallway smelt like alcohol and cigarettes (someone was smoking in there room) and...

”The breakfast was good. The person working in the kitchen was very nice and worked very hard at making sure everything was full. Parking was cumbersome. Their parking lot was small so we had to park in another lot near by. The first room we were in the deadbolt did not work and the maintenance person came and could not fix it so we got moved to another room. ”Front desk staff were curt and good at ignoring you as you stood at the counter. Their explanation of the parking garage was confusing at best. Left note and tip for extra bath towels with housekeeping...got none. The people make it feel more like the big City coldness you would expect instead of the friendliness the plain states are known for.”

”We were upgraded to staying at the Victorian Inn- i would highly recommended. The house is charming and located in the historic downtown of Sioux Falls. ”

”Beware if you think you’re saving a few dollars. You have to park at the airport parking that is $18-$25 dollars and it’s quite a walk. The hotel itself was nice. Continental breakfast is also much to be desired. ”
